Called in today with my cousin. Friendly welcome, great service and excellent food. Only downside is the vegetables. I had chicken curry rice and chips so no problems there, my cousin had half roast chicken, bacon and chips. The deserts are to die for. Great prices and views.

It's not often I'll go back to the same place with so many places to try but went here twice in one week. The specials are always fantastic, great choices on the main menu, love the ambiance of the place, plenty of room between tables and nice seating. Staff are fantastic. Michelle as always is a hoot and gives such...

We had a superior room, which was large, clean and modern with a lovely sea view. Unfortunately that was the only good thing about our stay. The hotel seems to be a bit old-fashioned and run down in general. Breakfast was very basic, with packet cereals, tinned grapefruit and peaches and basic white or brown toast. The cooked part was...

Just decided to call in with the hope of getting a table on a Saturday night. It was very busy and there was a good buzz to the bar and dining area. Luckily we got a table. Service was very prompt and friendly. The roast beef and scampi we ordered came in good time and the lady serving us couldn't...

Managed to squeeze my wife and I in for Sunday lunch at short notice and we weren't disappointed. Lovely Sunday dinner and great service from a very friendly team. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for goof food and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

My daughter and I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and hospital. Our twin room was immaculate not a speck of dust, each time we entered the room all we could smell was fresh laundry, the beds were very comfortable and the room was a reasonable size. The whole hotel was very clean...

We stayed at this hotel when attending a wedding at the Ballygally Castle Hotel. It was very reasonably priced. The hotel room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing, so friendly and even gave us a lift to the Ballygally Castle Hotel!! Breakfast was also very nice.

Myself and my colleagues came to the Halfway house and after a series of unfortunate events found ourselves late for check in and a few other mishaps. The staff were beyond accommodating! They were extremely kind and proffesional. They made everything extremely easy for us. The hotel was incredible value and the rooms were clean, warm and the beds were...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Halfway House Hotel is a family run hotel, situated on the world famous Causeway Coast/Antrim Coast and Glens. It can be described as the Gateway to the Glens and Causeway Coast because of the location. From the front of the hotel you can see that it is situated in a picturesque seaside village. On clear days, if you look across the sea you will be able to see the mountains of Scotland. Within the hotel there is also a large lounge area (Maidens Lounge) where food and drink are served daily. The menu has a wide variety of food available – from seafood to steaks and a great selection of sweets. Again this area has lovely views over the sea. ... more   less
