In its day I imagine it was a splendid hotel however it is tired and some of the decor is pretty nasty. The rooms were ok , the bathrooms in need of some serious work but as I said it is OK for the money and perfectly fine for one night en route elsewhere. The staff were courteous and helpful...

We had a lovely time at this hotel. It is excellently situated for the beautiful Fife coastal path which we highly recommend walking. It also has excellent train links to Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen and stations on the coastal path. The hotel has nice rooms, reception and of course a beautiful ceiling in the dining room which came from a...

Spent a few nights in this hotel which we found very comfortable. We had a nice twin bedded room, with a good bathroom. Plenty of very hot water. The village of Aberdour is lovely with good walks , a castle and two beach areas with great views over the Firth of Forth, and is only a short journey from Edinburgh...

On arrival, receptionist was just unprofessional, didn't feel very welcoming at all. Booked a family room to be grunted at an told our child who is 2 years old couldn't stay in that room, asked for her reasons an was told it was policy. I found her manner very blunt. I'm heavily pregnant an had travelled 3 hours to get...

We stayed for a weekend at the end of September and found the hotel to be very pleasant. The room was clean and the bed was comfy and our room was a good size. Breakfast was okay (we've had better), but it did the job. The lady on reception was very friendly and took the time to talk to us...

Very cute hotel with nice lobby and bar area. It was pretty warm when we were there and there was no air conditioning so the room was pretty hot. There was a fan available and we kept the window open to get some fresh air. The room was fine, but the bathroom needed to be updated. The reception was very...

This is a lovely small village a short train ride from Edinburgh. The home cooked breakfast is great, rooms small but cozy, no lifts so pack light. Great location just across from golf course lovely for morning walk & just a short stroll to beach & train station.

Arrived at hotel at 19.30 and booked in with the friendly receptionist asked about having a light bite and she said that they only did meals and stopped cooking at 20.00 but she told us of other pubs or hotel that might fit the bill. The room was hot on opening the door andto keep the sash window open I...

Nicely situated, very friendly staff and a good breakfast. The interior is a bit old but of no problem at all. Location has a busstop nearby and trainstation is 5 minute walk. Easy to get to Edinburgh 😁

One night stay in the William Wallace room, enjoyed the dining room that was soaked in history. Food was good and plentiful. Aberdour a beautiful stop away from the bustle of Edinburgh. Highly recommend especially those who do not want the bustle of too many tourists :)
