My husband & I stayed in the first floor suite for a night. All of the staff were really welcoming & friendly, we checked in with ease & were delighted with the room. Huge space, lovely views & the bathroom is enormous with local toiletries from Arran Aromatics which is a nice touch. The only issue we had with the...

Had a great night at the Douglas Hotel thanks to a ferry breakdown, lovely food and a smashing room. Special mention to reception and breakfast staff for being so cheery and helpful. I will return to Brodick soon and will book this hotel.

Great location & directly opposite from the boat terminal!! Room was very spacious & nicely decorated. Reception staff very friendly & helpful. Excellent food served in the restaurant though the waitresses were a little too wooden & didn't really engage in conversation. Can highly recommend the Arran blonde beer!! Would definitely stay again!!

Glasgow school of Arts' Mountaineering Club would like to express their gratitude for the generous hospitality offered to us by General Manager Jim Reid and his team at the Douglas when we were stranded on the Island by stormy seas (ferry unable to berth at Ardrossan that evening) Our party of fourteen had a memorable stay in luxurious accommodation and...

Just returned from my 2nd stay at The Douglas Hotel and yet again, I had a great time. The room was spotlessly clean, as is the whole hotel. It is beautifully decorated and furnished. I ate in the bar on the first night and the bistro on the second night and both meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. The...

Visited hotel in December and was very impressed. Arrived off ferry at 8am and receptionist kindly let us into our room early. Room did not have sea view but was lovely - huge room and ensuite with a perfect blend of modern and Scottish charm (other hotels please note you can do contemporary Scottish!). Room and ensuite spotless as was...

One night in the Douglas Hotel was enough to put Arran on our list of favourite places. Staff very friendly (and efficient!) room and bathroom 10 out of 10 for cleanliness and comfort. Sash windows which actually opened without the risk of getting a hernia and working shutters for those who abhor early morning light. Food wonderful - the only...

My husband and I stayed here on Valentine's day with our 18 month old baby, when we arrived off the ferry the hotel was right in front of us and looked amazing!!! The room was one of the nicest we've stayed in and we like to travel. The room and bathroom were huge and the view was wonderful, really couldn't...

I took my wife to the Douglas Hotel last weekend as a surprise birthday treat and we were both hugely impressed ! The hotel, which was completely refurbished a couple of years ago is really superb, just a stones throw from the ferry terminal, with a commanding position at the south end of Brodick bay. The views are spectacular, we...
