Having found out to our horror that this wonderful hotel is closing, due to the selfishness of Geoffrey and Anthony wishing to retire (only joking), we have reflected on our many visits since we became engaged there one winter's night in February 1999.

We stayed twice in Sept and Oct with our Border Terrier. It was voted Best Hotel in Scotland. Breakfast is wonderful and Dinner is on par with the best restaurant you have ever been to. Nice walks for dogs around the Hotel (which is well off the beaten track), although dogs must be kept on a lead in the grounds because of the many peacocks/peahens which they keep in the gardens.
