Must have caught the 2 best days in March this century, 23C in the sun on Arran! Auchrannie is a great centre, well set up for good and bad weather. We upgraded to an "executive double" which turns out it means a separate room with bunk beds that we didn't need, access to a small kitchen/clothes washing areas and a...

We had an overnight stay that I bought from It is On. Excellent hotel, it has a great leisure centre and all the facilities you could ask for. The food is first class, we had a beautiful dinner and an after dinner drink sitting at a log fire. This is a really special place to visit and Arran is a...

We visited Arran and stayed in the Auchrannie House Hotel at the beginning of March of this year. We had a lovely stay in our room, which was comfortable and clean. It was obvious that the rooms had recently had some renovations, which made them nice and modern, especially the bathroom, and the complimentary water in the mini fridge was...

We visited as a large family group and between us we stayed in lodges and the hotel. The lodges were spacious and offered great accommodation to host the whole family group for pre-dinner drinks etc. On th first night of our weekend stay we ate at the 1869 restaurant, it offers a different menu, Scottish tapas, very good options and...

Excellent roon and facilities especially pools... Booked a table at Brambles with my wife..niece and partner Looked forward to eating there as both myself and niece love seafood... Well what a disaster.... Brown crab soup was like sludge from the bottom of the clyde and completley unseasoned... Then it got worse as we waited 50 minutes for mains(only about 6...

As the title suggests, this is a "resort" hotel. To get the most of it, you should really be aiming to use the facilities. Ironically, my wife and I didn't but we still really enjoyed our stay. We got an overnight stay as a present at Christmas and we chose to upgrade to the Executive Room. I do not know...

Customer service is very poor. One of the worst around. Tried changing a booking date for a family member due to a family emergency which was refused. Would recommend anyone to avoid this place as if you have any issues then there is zero chance you will be shown any level of acceptable customer service.

The Auchrannie hotel and spa provided us with a nice base for our Aaran stay. Our room was a very good size and had all the room facilities you would expect if a hotel in this price range. In fact all staff were polite, attentive and helpful. On our first evening we ate at the Brambles restaurant which unfortunately fell...

Dear Teamchampions, Thank you for taking time to leave a review on your recent stay. I'm pleased you found our resort and good base for exploring Arran. I'm sorry your meal in brambles was not to our usual high standard, I have passed your comments onto the Head Chef to discuss with the team. Unfortunately when you visited Cruize we...

First time staying here and found the whole experience as very good. We were in a executive room which was very spacious with a super king bed which was very comfortable, extras like "nespresso" machine, bottled water, fresh milk and fresh fruit is a great touch. We ate in "brambles" and found the menu and food quality to be excellent....

Despite living on the west coast - I can see Arran from my house - I have disgracefully never set foot on the island until yesterday. Went with a friend for a nights stay to chill and have a catch up. Our spa accommodation room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Dinner at Brambles restaurant was amazing one of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the heart of the beautiful isle of Arran lies the multi-award winning, family owned Auchrannie Resort. Auchrannie now consists of two four star hotels; the romantic and relaxing ‘House Hotel’ catering for couples and those wanting a more intimate experience whilst the contemporary ‘Spa Resort’ is popular with families and those prefer a more modern feel to their surroundings. In addition, the resort features 30 five-star self-catering lodges (sleeping up to 8 in total luxury and therefore perfect for the extended family), 3 outstanding, award winning restaurants and bars, 2 leisure centres both with pools, destination spa featuring treatments by ESPA and Ishga and an outdoor adventure centre. Arran is Scotland’s most accessible islands, often referred to as "Scotland in Miniature” due to the dramatic contrast between the hills and mountains in the north, and sweeping moorlands on the south of the island. A short 55 minute ferry journey off the Ayrshire coast, Arran is easily reachable by those arriving into any of central Scotland’s main airports as well as those travelling by car, train and coach. Whilst many tourists arrive on the island simply to kick back and relax, the island is packed with attractions and sights for visitors of all ages. ... more   less
