I have been a regular visitor to the Original for some 2 years, and frequently bring colleagues as it is convenient for meetings at the ‘Bush Estate’ at the University. Accommodation is ok, breakfast is great, bar and restaurant are good. However. I cannot continue to use it as a base for working visits and can no longer recommend it...

Very friendly and comfortable hotel with great food on offer. We were travelling through on a Scottis road trip, and could not have found a better stop off point. The bar lounge was lovely with a real quality menu.

Popped in for an evening meal last Friday. We received a friendly welcome, swift service and excellent food at a reasonable price. There is an extensive selection of beers and ciders, how ever 2 of the taps were unavailable. This didn't dampen the experience.

Spent three nights. The cleaner was really friendly.. the room was emaculately clean. The food was great. Every one was really friendly. I especially loved the softness of the bed and the little biscuits they left for me every morning

I stayed here overnight as I had a conference at the Roslin Institute. It's really close to the Rosslyn Chapel, but unfortunately I didn't have time for a visit. The staff were really pleasant and attentive throughout my stay. I stayed in the small double room, which was perfectly fine for me. It's a bit tired, but I like places...

The menu they provided us with had a very comprehensive selection also the wine list, and prices where very good on both menus. When the food arrived the portions where great and very well presented. This is a...

Lovely village and comfortable pub/hotel, only 200m or so from Roslin Chapel - definitely worth a visit. The room was spacious and comfortable, although unfortunately the wifi couldn't reach the room, which might be a significant disappointment especially to business persons using this location. Good beer garden/patio out front - although it's adjacent to the road, it isn't the busiest...

Good food - decent portion size, large bedroom - with a four poster bed !, great beer (do try the Originals own beer), very friendly staff, reasonable prices. What's not to like? Breakfast menu has a sense of humour - try the 'Scotland the Brave' to ensure that you need a very late lunch. Breakfast coffee strong enough to help...

I stayed in a very comfortable, nicely decorated room (N06 if I recall) the staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely cosy bar and great food. What more could you ask for :-) I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to get away from the typical corporate hotels and stay somewhere relaxing and...
