Dakota Eurocentral garners accolades for its service, with many guests commending the staff's friendliness and professionalism, despite occasional slow response times. While the hotel's cleanliness and stylish, modern rooms are often praised, some visitors point out maintenance issues and shortcomings in amenities, particularly for children. The location offers convenience for commuting but is seen as somewhat isolated.
Critics frequently question the hotel's value, citing steep prices and additional charges. Overall, the luxurious atmosphere is well-received, though the choice of decor is not without its detractors.

Detailed Reviews
First let’s address the elephant in the room. COVID precautions by hotel were good but like everywhere it’s the punters that have to adhere to changes. E.g when tables are marked reserved to allow distant why do some halfwits sit at them.
Regards review, check in was swift pleasant and professional. Room was very well serviced ( can of drinking water provided)
Had pre dinner drinks in the lounge/ reception area and the service was very professional and attentive ( young guy short fair hair ).
Moved through to restaurant at our allotted time and were look after by several young waitresses who were all pleasant efficient and friendly .
Wine selection covered most requirements and I thought the the markups you’d be reasonable. Billecart fizz £60 ( bargain ) decent Primitivo £30.
Menu was good although leaned more to the sea than the land. We (2 couples) had Friday special Chateaubriand and all of us gave it top marks. Pick of the starters was Duck salad but the Frito misto and pate also got thumbs up.
Nightcap or 2 in the bar rounded up a excellent night.
Checkout was hassle free from another friendly member of staff.
Will return ASAP
Ps Down load the loyalty app it is worthwhile if you intend returning.

Started here last night with my other half and it’s was fab.
I had originally booked another hotel in Glasgow who called me at the last minute to cancel as they had overbooked so was really annoyed but when I called to check availability at the Dakota, the girl on reception was so lovely and she put me in a better mood! She was so helpful and gave me a few room options to choose from. I booked the superior double room on a b&b basis.
The hotel is situated in an industrial estate at the side of the motorway so o wasn’t expecting much but upon entering i got a really nice feel. Plenty of signage about covid precautions and hand sanitiser dotted around. The reception was nicely decorated with a gorgeous open fire place and nice chairs/sofas. I checked in and was greeted by 2 really lovely girls. I explained about my previous booking at another hotel being cancelled and they assured me that I would be well looked after but them and the rest of the staff - they were true to their word!
The room was nicely decorated, lovely little touches in the room like bathrobes, slippers, water and toiletries- none of which I expected due to the covid regulations so these were greatly received. After a stressful few weeks, this overnight was booked to just chill out and relax in our room and so the full sky tv package came in very handy. The bed and pillows were comfy and helped with a good nights sleep.
We opted for room service for dinner. There was a decent selection on the menu, the prices were a little on the high side, but not extortionate. Food was tasty! Steak in the steak sandwich cooked perfectly and lots of flavour in the lamb curry.
In the morning we rang for room service breakfast. We weren’t given any menus so I called the reception and was told they would call me at the time I wanted breakfast and pass me to the grill who would take our order- we still didn’t actually know what was on the menu. I ended up just calling back and ordering there and then. I just asked for what we wanted and it was all available. I had a fill Scottish which was really good, the scrambled eggs were the best I’ve ever had!! Although there was no beans on the plate which would have been good and no condiments were sent up, but it didn’t ruin it.
On checkout there was a bit of a mix up with our bill, someone had very cheekily ordered a load of drinks (approx £70 worth) and charged it to our room. My other half was given the total and went to pay it until I questioned the amount as it sounded totally off what I expected. The girl on reception couldn’t apologise enough and sorted it out for us
All in all, we had a lovely evening and would 100% return and recommend the hotel. The location isn’t the most scenic, but the inside of the hotel and especially the staff more than made up for that.

Dear NicDickson, We are delighted to receive your review and it certainly sounds like we were a pleasant surprise in the end. It is disappointing to hear of your initial drama with the other hotel, however, I am glad that Dakota lived up to your expectations and that you had a fabulous time staying with us. It is lovely to hear you speak so highly of our amazing team, especially our Receptionists and rest assured I will certainly share your lovely feedback with them. During these strange times, guest and team safety is at the forefront of everything we do and I am glad to hear that you felt safe staying with us. It defiantly sounds like you had an amazing experience and was the much needed, enjoyable and relaxing time that you needed. That said, please accept my apologies for the mishap with your final bill, but I am glad that this was rectified promptly for you. It really was our pleasure to have you with us and I do hope we will have the joy of welcoming you back to Dakota Eurocentral in the near future. Kind regards, Craig Wallace, Guest Relations Manager.

We booked a night here as we were married on 28th December and my husband can't get any holidays until February. This was a mini moon before our trip in February.
We were given an upgrade on arrival and the lady who checked us in and the other lady who checked us out the next morning were absolutely lovely. Took the time to chat whilst processing our check in/out. Very professional but very friendly at the same time, they got the balance just right.
The room was beautiful with lots of lovely little touches like rose petals on the bed, chocolates and cookies. The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were so soft, it felt really luxurious.
We went downstairs to the bar for drinks and the bar staff were also really pleasant and professional. We decided to order room service for our meal and had 2 courses each delivered to the room within around 20 minutes. The food was beautiful.
Breakfast the next morning was very good too, it was just unfortunate that we had to rush away without being able to enjoy some of the pastries etc.
This is the third time I have stayed in the hotel and we will definitely be back. The location is not ideal for many people but as my husband works weekends and the hotel is right in the middle of our home and his work we will definitely be doing this every couple of months.
If you want a quiet, romantic, cosy night away then I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

My husband booked this hotel as a last minute break as he thought it looked good inside.
We knew it looked like a warehouse from the outside which is in keeping with businesses in the area. That’s understandable.
When you arrive you walk in the front door to be met with a curtain... it’s like walking into starts in your eyes without the dry ice. Maybe they should add that as an effect! But in reality it’s there to stop the draught!
It’s dark inside with little lighting, obvious to add to the ambience, just a little too much.
We got our room keys and went to our room. It was FREEZING! I had to keep my coat on for over an hour waiting for the heating to get it to room temperature of 18 degrees.
We went for dinner. The menu was minimal and definitely overpriced. Not many options at all and no chicken option. The drinks list was the same. Not impressed with the cocktail list and they don’t stock many popular spirits.
After your meal you get a drink and attempt to get a seat in the lobby area! The two large comfortable seats were reserved the whole time we were there (even in the morning) but no one ever sat on them!! Are these for show? Also I’m not keen on trying to relax and have a nice drink sitting next to reception desk with a Siberian breeze coming through the front door.
We booked an executive room and had assumed for the price it would include breakfast. In fact it did not. Very disappointed. So we didn’t go for breakfast as I was just desperate to check out and my refusal to spend any more money.
Overall I think the hotel is forgetting that it’s situated in an industrial estate on a motorway with no grounds to keep and no additional facilities to maintain.
Not for us but obviously suits pretentious locals who think they are something! Definitely filled with delusions of grandeur.
I’ll stick to my usual 4 & 5 star hotels that offer good service and more facilities at better prices.

Dear Cazzy34, We want to thank you for taking the time to leave your subjective review in relation to your recent stay with us, however, it is disappointing to learn that your experience did not live up to your expectations. It is saddening to receive such negative comments, but we do accept all feedback, be it positive or negative, as it allows us to use it constructively to enhance the overall Dakota experience for our guests. As you can see from previous reviews, we predominantly receive such wonderful feedback from guests, but we fully accept that Dakota is not to everyone’s taste. We sincerely apologise that you found the bedroom to be cold upon arrival, as we do endeavour to pre-heat all of our bedrooms, however, I can only put this down to human error as an oversight. We are sorry to hear that you found the menu to be limited in relation to your personal palate, as we get so many wonderful comments on our menu and the food within the hotel. Additionally, we do offer bed and breakfast rates, however, these are only available when you book directly with us. It is extremely disheartening to hear you refer to the hotel as “pretentious”, as this is far from what we would view ourselves as. It is evident from your comments that you are not a fan of Dakota and we are sorry to hear that; nevertheless, it was lovely to have you with us and I am just sorry your Dakota experience did not meet your expectations. Kind regards, Craig Wallace, Guest Relations Manager

Finally got to get our stay at Dakota Eurocentral after having to cancel in 2021 due to Covid restrictions. This time we booked to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
We booked two nights and booked the signature suite and the “date night” package which included breakfast and £30 per person to use towards food in the restaurant.
The hotel is easy to find and there were plenty of parking places. Check in was efficient and friendly and our suite was on the 5th floor. It was extremely spacious and very comfortable and well equipped with quality linen, towels, toiletries and teas/coffee/biscuits. As others have mentioned the theme of Dakota is subdued and dark tones so the room did seem dark but we did get used to it. It had a walk in wardrobe with plenty of storage. There was a huge king size bed and a living area with big corner sofa and a dining table. The bathroom was on the small side for the size of the suite but was perfectly adequate and the rainwater shower was powerful and invigorating.
We ate in the hotel both nights and all we can say is WOW what an amazing experience. The food, the staff and the service were absolutely out of this world. We saved a steak for our anniversary night and both had the fillet. I can honestly say this was the best I have ever had, cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth. It was also nice to see they had the exact same steak knives we have at home which are non-serrated. Nothing worse than eating a steak with a serrated knife. The starters we had the first night along with the fish and the roe deer which we had for mains, were equally superb. Our amazing server recommended an apple based dessert (not something we would normally go for) and she was so right, it was light, refreshing and extremely tasty. Talking of servers, we were blessed to be served by Charlie whom we understand is the restaurant manager and no wonder she is the manager, she was absolutely excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the food and the wine and her brilliant service really made both our nights very special and memorable occasions. I must add though all the other staff were also extremely friendly and very helpful but Charlie made the biggest impression on us.
Breakfast on both mornings was also fantastic. Again, nice to see this was all freshly cooked and nothing laid out to serve yourself, it was all brought to the table. Hubby loved the home made granola and I loved the eggs Florentine, the best I have ever tasted. Again, great service from an expectant lady whom we didn’t get her name but she was also a credit to Dakota.
Our two nights were absolutely fantastic and we are so pleased to have chosen Dakota Eurocentral for our special celebration. All the staff are a credit to the organisation and have obviously been trained to a very high standard. We have left with fantastic memories of a wonderful weekend and we will definitely return to Dakota Hotels. The only problem is, we are spoiled for choice as we have three (Glasgow, Edinburgh and Eurocentral) in close proximity to where we live and as much as we want to try the others, a big part of us will want to return to Eurocentral.

I stayed at Dakota last night in Glasgow. It was the first time I’ve stayed in this particular Dakota but I’ve stayed in others before. I travel a lot for work and this was a business trip. I’d been on the road driving all day and in meetings so as like most days travelling I needed to catch up with my work admin at the end of the day.
I usually try and do this whilst I wait for food in the hotel restaurant so I’m not having to work until crazy o’clock. It also helps to avoid feeling like a bully no mates whilst travelling as a woman on my own. The restaurant was busy and pretty noisy as I was the only guest sat alone. whilst sat typing away very quietly on a small laptop and minding my own business I was told by staff I wasn’t allowed to to use laptops in the restaurant and I would be asked to leave if I needed to. If I’d been working loudly making calls or something I could’ve understood but I was bothering nobody. Even the surrounding guests seemed quite taken aback by it too.
This actually made me feel really uncomfortable and whereas I would normally spend a fair bit of time having a full meal and coffee I rushed through the meal so that I could go and work in my room.
The hotel is situated on a large business park so I imagine you get many business guests so it seems like a crazy policy to not allow laptops in the restaurant. I did wonder what the response would have been if I’d taken a large newspaper into breakfast the next day.
On top of this the service wasn’t great. I have a cheese allergy which I can manage so asked for my food without cheese but it came covered in Parmesan so I had to send it back. The next day for breakfast every other guest was asked if they wanted toast or the cooked options but I was left waiting until I didn’t have time to have it so I had to go up and ask for toast.
This is a shame as I really liked the hotel other than this and I would have gone back. I work in Glasgow every month so if this is a hotel that makes it difficult to work I will be opting for a more business friendly instead.

Response from Dakotaeurocentral, Guest Relations Manager at Dakota Eurocentral
Responded Feb 17, 2020
Dear Keeley, We want to thank you for your feedback in relation to your recent dining experience with us, however I am saddened to learn that your overall perception has been left tainted. This is certainly far from what we would want for our guests, as we always aim to provide a memorable experience and for the right reasons. It is disappointing to receive negative comments, but nevertheless, we do welcome all feedback, as it allows us to acknowledge any areas that we can strive to enhance for our guests. Guest service is always at the forefront of everything we do in Dakota and it is our ethos to provide our guests with an experience, especially within our Grill, and to ensure that they leave feeling refreshed and having enjoyed their stay. We fully recognise that our guests are predominantly here for business reasons and that they do usually have work requirements in the evening. However, it is our aim to provide a space for them to unwind and enjoy their dining experience, away from the everyday work pressures and hectic lifestyles. With that said, we do offer our A La Carte menu within the bar area, for anyone wishing to dine more informally. Please accept my sincerest apologies that you felt uncomfortable, as that was never our intention and rest assured your comments have been passed onto our Restaurant Manager to appraise. Moreover, I am disappointed to learn of your breakfast experience also, but I am confident that your comments will prompt additional training to our team where deemed necessary. It really was lovely to have you with us, but I am just sorry to hear that your Dakota experience did not live up to your expectations. Nevertheless, we do hope you are not deterred from returning in the future, as we would love the opportunity to welcome you back. Kind regards, Craig Wallace, Guest Relations Manager.

To the General Manager of Dakota Hotels.
Let me be clear this hotel was fantastic and still would be if the new management reviews its pet policy. We have stayed on several occasions before and our pets were welcomed with open arms and caused no bother at all. Many guests loved to pet them. We crated them in the room and left them in the car when we ate in the fab restaurant. The current trend is for hotels to be more accommodating of responsible dog owners not less so. We feel this is a retrograde step. If you have irresponsible owners then charge them (I have no problem with that). for the responsible owners you should open your doors as you will be rewarded with a host of bookings which will contribute to your turnover and bottom line. We have previously recommended friends because of the previous hospitality....it is a shame that is no longer the case.

Dear 996nickm, We want to thank you for your feedback in relation to the updated pet policy within the company, however I am disappointed to learn of your dismay. With the Dakota brand expanding, it became more apparent that the company required more streamlining, to ensure that the same procedures and standards were being upheld in all of our properties. Until December of last year, only two out of our five properties accepted pets and so the decision was made to update the pet policy to avoid any confusion between our team members and indeed our guests, when it came to accepting pets. Please let me assure you that this decision was certainly not taken lightly and that we are very appreciative of the valued custom that our guests have brought us over the years by choosing Dakota as their preferred hotel when looking to stay with their pet. Nevertheless, we want to thank you for your feedback and we certainly do take your suggestions on board. I fully appreciate that you do travel with your dog and that sadly you may have to look at alternative hotels in the future, but I certainly do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back at Dakota. Rest assured, your feedback has been forwarded to our General Manager to read and if there is anything I can do for you in the future then please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to help in any way that I can. Kind regards, Craig Wallace, Guest Relations Manager.

I stayed in this hotel on an overnight business trip, excellent hotel close to motorway, easy access to Glasgow.
I was really nervous as this was my first business trip during Covid. However the staff were really reassuring particularly Maria in housekeeping (I made a point of noting) who not only provided a spotless room and amazing attention to detail, but her friendly smiling nature really made a difference to my anxiety and the stay itself. There were extra complimentary products and even some extra biscuits thrown in. Couldn't ask for better service!
I haven't been in Glasgow for a while through Covid but Maria gave some excellent recommendations for eating. Next time I hope to stay long enough to try out the restaurant, which looked amazing. Highly recommend.

We were meeting friends in Glasgow so decided to stay over and booked the room through the app and we got a special rate for B& B.
Basic room this time but still of a high quality. The towels were soft and fluffy and the bed was really comfortable.
Breakfast was buffet style and then we ordered from the kitchen as well. The food was cooked to order which makes a big difference to us, as it is not lying in a warm plate spoiling before you get there.
As always the staff were friendly . We have visited this hotel a few times now and we will be back.

I have been using this hotel for business meetings during the past 3 months and I must say I have been very impressed with the level of commitment to hygiene and Covid 19 regulations.
All the staff were helpful but I must put a special mention for Fiona who I was served by on numerous occasions, each time Fiona was very helpful and is a credit to the hotel. Nothing was an issue and Fiona went above and beyond and out her way to ensure myself and the groups needs were would met during each of our meetings. I would highly recommend using the facilities.

If you’re eating in your room you can take in whatever you like.
From memory, a bit bigger and on a different floor. I normally go for the standard room.
Probably but best to ask them.
