    Lovely accommodation with great hosts , Barbara and Fred, who have plenty of information about where to visit on Orkney. We had a wonderful holiday here and will certainly be back. So nice to stay in such a lovely place that also welcomes your dog.

    Stayed in a very comfortable room in this lovely guesthouse for the weekend. The owners Barbara and Fred could not have been more helpful or more accommodating.Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble . Highly recommended .

    Hotel description
    St. Margaret's Cottage is a traditional, sandstone-built cottage. From its commanding position above the village of St. Margaret's Hope there are superb views down to the bay and across the water to Scapa Flow and the islands of Burray, Hunda and Hoy. Inside, the accommodation is deceptively grand but with a welcoming and comfortable feel. Guest Accommodation comprises double, twin and single rooms - all with private bathroom facilities (two rooms en-suite and one with large bathroom). All rooms have TV and coffee making facilities.The guests' sitting room has Sky TV and there is also private internet access, Via Broadband.Breakfasts are served in the dining room with an early breakfast also available (ideal for the return ferry crossing!).Boat charters, wildlife guides and transportation can all be arranged - just let us know your personal requirements and we'll organize the rest for you!
