The B&B is immaculate. A lovely old building with an extension. We stayed in room 9 which was in the newer part. Size wise it was a little small but perfectly fine for one night. The view from the window was of the flat roof but again for one night it was no issue to us but others may want... More

We have just spent a night here and had a pleasant stay but nothing wonderful. The welcome was ok but a bit rushed. The room as average. A very uncomfortable, extremely hard bed. The duvet needs replaced as the filling has completely disappeared in huge parts of it so we were cold during the night. It's an old house so... More

Our room was extraordinarily large, very quiet and comfortable. Mark helped us up and down the stairs with our luggage and was a gracious host. My husband enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts. I am gluten intolerant, but was delighted to find fresh fruit and yogurt, and the staff prepared eggs and bacon to go with it. We were a very short... More

This has the feeling of an old country house (in a good way!). The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, with lots of good advice on making the most of the surrounding area. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choice, traditional and healthier options available.

The "Balnearn House" was a nice, quit place for us as family to stay for a night. Our room was comfortable and clean. Also the breakfast was delicious, so that we cannot criticize something. My daughter liked especially the lounge that had a chessboard for our daily match.
