We passed by this place the other day and it was closed. Signs suggest that it is being refurbished by an independent brewery company and will reopen as a hotel with its own brew house. There is no doubt that if they get the business plan right they could be on to a winner as the location on the loch...

This is about the former hotel bar that does serve food, whilst the rest of the hotel and main restaurant is being slowly refurbished. I am afraid to say that in our week at St Fillans, we saw hardly anyone in here - drinking or eating. The main trade was for the cafe next door ( run by same people...

We were staying in a log cabin up Comrie way and decided we'd head into St Fillans for something to eat. When we entered the hotel you could tell it's needing some work done. We sat down in one of the booths just next to the bar and a man came through and handed us the menu. There was hardly...

Abandoned and closed. Some would say not before time. The nearby Four Seasons hotel is brilliant. StFillans is beautiful location ideally placed for exploring Scotland. Loads of red squirrels and lots of good dog walking. FSH a genuine dog friendly hotel.

we paid a substantial amount of money to have our wedding in the gardens of the hotel in August with the understanding that we would have exclusive use of the jetty and garden. When we arrived no one from the hotel was anywhere to be seen, the garden was unkempt and overgrown and people were having a BBQ on the...

We arrived on Friday 21st Sept and had booked for the Fri/Sat night. It was the 1st time my mother-in-law had visited Scotland so we wanted her to experience the beauty of Scotland and wake up in the morning to the stunning views of the loch when she opened her bedroom curtains. When we arrived late on the Fri night...

6 of us turned up for lunch. We hadn't booked a table. There was no one serving at the bar and no-one at reception. The one member of staff who eventually appeared wasn't able to serve at the bar. Someone was eating in the lounge bar but it was hard to imagine how she'd managed to order the food. There...

hotel a mess This hotel has definitely gone down hill and as the previous reviewer wrote, should now be closed in its present state. Work on hotel has still not been completed. The hotel is in a superb location and it should be exceptional. Unfortunately, it has a huge amount of work to do before I could recommend it.
