Hotel is extremely dated but the staff are amazing... special mention to gaynor and Gillian ! Great service and good humour . A real credit to the hotel and organisation .Parking rules have changed so be careful if you are booking this for the airport, you may get stung as I did .

The rooms were basic but clean, when I say basic I mean dated, I had no problems in the room it was fine but basic. I got married in the venue, Stephanie dealt with my wedding in the months leading up to the day and Robyn helped us on the day. They were both great dealing with us and communicated quickly and efficiently. Nothing was a problem we asked for, overall my wife and I were delighted with the venue staff and the fabric of the hall, it looked fine and with the coronavirus restrictions it was possible for us to space out our 50 guests. Everyone enjoyed the room between the seats and tables allowing everyone to move around easily and safely. The meal was first class, the food was very tasty and well prepared, all my guests were delighted with the quantity and quantity of their choice. The plates were warm and I made sure to tip the youngsters waiting the tables who were great at dealing with our needs. I had a tab at the bar all night and they looked after every table so well. So concluding my review I would recommend others to book their wedding or event at this venue as it was a great experience for myself. I would like to thank everyone at the Normandy Hotel for giving Tracy and I the day we always dreamed of. It’s 5 stars from me .

The hotel looked and felt old and tired. Carpets in corridors very used and chips on door frames and skirting all over the place. Bedroom carpet was worn and torn and the temperature in the room was so hot even though radiators turned off. The two score was for the efficiency and quality of staff and the en-suite. Really glad there were very few aeroplanes flying at this time and sound proofing was poor.

We booked a table here for dinner and we arrived half an hour early. We walked an hour to get here and asked if it was okay if we were seated now. The waitress said yes and asked us to wait. She didn't come back. We eventually went to a long queued out bar with the slowest service ever and when we got to the front we asked for our table (it was now past our booking time) we were sat and told to use the app to order. We ordered drinks but the app did not show a food menus so we returned to the bar to be told they were only serving soup and sandwiches. Absolute joke letting us book and wait that long without any warning the full menu wasn't being served. Why are they allowing dinner to be booked if you aren't serving it? Waste of our day and we had to walk home and order a Chinese.

Dear queenk115, Thank you for your recent review. We were only serving a limited menu due to issues with our delivery and unfortunately we did not close out our sites on time for booking for guests booking dinner. We are so sorry that we did not quite meet your expectations on this occasion and do hope that you come back to see us in the future. Regards,

I'm giving this a poor rating purely on the overnight stay, myself and my wife were at Wedding and we had decided to stay overnight but the room the gave us looked like it was still occupied or it had not been cleaned so went back down to reception we did get another room. Around 3am i thought someone was banging on the door but it was the Heating system clunking this went on for ages. We paid extra for Breakfast but that was poor no fault in the staff who were very nice.
