Restaurant wasn't open for some reason we weren't told about and we were directed through to the pub. The Interior seemed a bit 'worn' but also looked as if it was being refreshed. Service was efficient enough and pleasant. Food was good: macaroni very good, scampi slightly overcooked, good sized portions. Coffee was bland. I would eat here again.

Out with the family and the dog. It seems most places don't let dogs in and that is understandable however very few have a beer garden in Scotland but this one did. We were made very welcome and had a lovely meal. The staff were very helpful and the produce was very fresh there was a good menu for the...

This hotel was recommended to me by a local. I went there on each of the 3 nights I was in Dornoch. Unlike many Scottish hotels there was no division into hotel and public bars where you definitely feel a second class citizen if you are in the public bar. The staff are very friendly and helpful. When I was...

We stayed at the eagle hotel as our jumping off point for golf in Dornach. The hotel is in a great location, in the center of Dornoch and a short drive to the golf course. The hotel is in easy walking distance of many restaurants. The charm of the hotel, is the lively pub scene on the ground-floor. Bedrooms are...

We recently stayed here for several days while on a golf trip. The rooms were clean and spacious (excluding the shower). While not luxurious, the Eagle was great for our group which was more focused on the golf than our accommodations. The pub below was also good with a very welcoming staff. We even hung out with the owner while...

Went a few weeks ago and thought it was brilliant, really enjoyed my meal as did my wife and children. I had the chicken and ham pie which was very good. The kids were given crayons and drawing stuff to help keep them entertained which was nice. It was that nice I returned 3 weeks later, this is when it...

We had a long planned golf trip for 8 guys, which we planned without a tour operator. One of our main requirements was to not share rooms. Some of us wanted luxury, more wanted a bed and a shower at a discount rate. The latter group won. I had been apprehensive about the Eagle because of the reviews here. The...
