My husband and I had been here several years before. Since that time I have become gluten free. I let Marelle know about this before hand and what did I find for breakfast? Gluten free bread and gluten free sausages. This type of service suggests what type of care is provided for you in this most special home.

After years away from this lovely home, my wife and I were back for four nights. It was all I remembered. A comfortable room, a wide ranging and delicious breakfast and most importantly, owners that cared for every aspect of our visit. We put ourselves in their hands and what a bounty of recommendations: restaurants, highland walks, and other areas...

Stopped off at Dornoch on the last leg of NC500 trip and struck gold with the Amalfi. I have seldom had such a warm, friendly and enthusiastic greeting as we received from Edward. He quickly settled us in and after making several recommendations (and warnings of places to avoid) he arranged dinner reservations. We were not disappointed. The rooms were...

Marelle and Edward run the best B&B in Dornoch! This comfortable B&B is very accommodating for travelers. Marelle makes the best breakfast in Scotland, and guests can customize their order based upon their preferences. The rooms are clean and give you room to spread out, with modern "en suite" facilities for all guests. Their local connections are very helpful for...

Hosts were nice and a quality breakfast offerd. However, it was a shame about the room which was quite small and dated. Poor value for money compared to the other accommodation we have stayed in for similar price or less

The Amalfi Bed & Breakfast is a winning combination. Marelle and Edward are excellent hosts who share their local knowledge and are willing to help with tee times, dining reservations, places to see, etc. Full breakfast including my daily favorite - a large bowl of chopped up fresh fruit. Bonus to golfers - the Royal Dornoch club house is just...

I had a wonderful stay at Amalfi last week along with my dog who was made most welcome and was even walked by Marelle (thank you!). I only sampled a fraction of the breakfast menu and it was superb with an excellent local haggis. The B&B is simple and not fussy and in a super location, only 2 minutes walk...

Edward and Marelle are great hosts, and cook up a tasty Scottish breakfast that will keep you full until dinner. We've stayed at the Amalfi several times, and always return because of the warm reception we receive. The location is super convenient, within very short walking distance to the town of Dornoch, the beach and Royal Dornoch Golf Club. Our...

I would not stay any other place on my annual visits to Dornoch. As long as Marelle and Edward will have me I will continue to stay there. The hospitality is off the charts, the breakfast is great. Walking distance to the #5 golf course in the world. It really is the perfect place to stay while visiting Dornoch.

This was our first trip to Scotland and we could not have picked a better place to stay. Edward and Marelle are great host and really knew the best places to eat and interesting places to visit. The breakfast was wonderful and they would cook any thing you wanted. We stayed at the Amalfi and used this as our central...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Amalfi, a friendly family-run B & B, owned by a Dornoch native and the closest B & B to Royal Dornoch (300 yards) yet only 400 yards from the town square. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is wonderful, including fresh bread made daily. Your comfort and satisfaction are our priorities; we take pleasure in achieving that ‘home from home’ atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming you to Amalfi, arriving as guests and leaving as friends. ... more   less
