We were a bit unsure about this place given its name - which Mary kindly explained was associated with 'tramping the hills' rather than being homeless! The welcome was warm and we were immediately made to feel at home. Mary spent a good deal of her time chatting with us the next morning and never did we feel we were...

A beautiful reception are and we were immediately greeted by the hostess with tea and delicious pancake as soon as we arrived after a tired day of walking on the GGW. Room was clean and comfortable. We could tell that the owner truly take pride in what they do. Great hospitality. Breakfast was excellent. Loved her Balmoral Egg! Within walking...

This is the second time I have stayed at Tramps with a gap of 7 years. As with my last visit I found Tramps to be very clean, comfortable and with a lovely breakfast, being a vegetarian Mary cooked me a full breakfast using soya alternatives. Mary is very friendly and makes every guest feel welcome and important. I was...

A group of 8 (6 from Scotland and 2 from England) have just completed our annual lads walking holiday. We were completing the second half of the Great Glen Way and for logistical reasons decided to stay 3 nights in Drumnadrochit. We chose Tramps partly because of its postiion on Trip Adviser and partly because it could accomodate the size...

This is one of the best bed & breakfasts I've ever stayed at. The rooms are really comfortable, with tea, coffee and biscuits and a fabulous en-suite with a piping hot shower. Mary is a really lovely, friendly lady, who is extremely helpful with advice on where to eat and how to get there (some places do a drive &...

We stayed here on our walk along the Great Glen Way, we got there at the end of a long hard 14 miles much of it on tarmac. Mary was most welcoming, got us settled into room, then gave us tea and cake (full of apologies that on this occassion it wasn't homemade). There were menus available for local restaurants,...

Mary was an excellent host, friendly and knowledgeable about the local walks, pubs and even the wildlife! Breakfast was a delight with excellent choice of food, cooked or continental. The room was clean with good storage and a drying room was available. Tea and home baked scones on arrival! Would definitely use again if in the area; I would highly...

I spent two nights here with friends while walking The Great Glen Way. Our host, Mary, greeted us at the door, made us a cup of tea and chatted with us regarding our day. She was very kind, and helpful regarding dining choices, the walking route, and village conveniences. The rooms were clean, bright, modern, and comfortable. The breakfast room...

I stayed with 3 friends in Mary's Lodge in July 2010. We had a very long drive to get there but when we arrived we were made so welcome by Mary. The Lodge was far better than we had imagined and extremely clean and tidy. We were staying there as part of a Stag celebration, a driving holiday around the...
