Stayed for one night over Easter & we were not impressed, for a very basic room it's very expensive for what you get. Blinds that are broken and don't close, very untidy & messy looking bathroom you can hear all the noise from outside especially people in the pub smoking area so you won't get a very good night's sleep,...

We have been there for one night. The room were clean and well shaped. At the evening it was very cool to sit in the bar. Aaaand the breakfast was so amazing. Youcan choose on a menu.... and then they cook it for you. The service persons were very friendly.

The guy on the bar was really friendly and welcoming and helped out with a table and the menus right away. The IPA on draft was really nice and the food was actually tasty and I enjoyed my meal. We felt right at home and I'm looking forward to going back tomorrow. Great little venue and atmosphere!

Stayed here for one night. We had the dog friendly room and I have to say we couldn't fault it. The staff were always asking if our dogs needed anything, which I thought was so lovely. Atmosphere lovely, food lovely. Can't fault it. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We ate here twice while we were staying in Fort Augustus. The service was good and we really enjoyed both meals. I really liked the Cullen skink. Good atmosphere. Free Wifi. The seating area in the back room was a bit more comfortable for eating than the front but the front felt cozier. The front hand lower chairs and smaller...

We turned up with 19 of us unannounced (including 2 unruly toddlers!) and couldn't have felt more welcome! Wonderful food and the staff were simply fantastic! Couldn't do enough for us, incredibly helpful and polite and we will be returning next time we are up that way. Everyone from our party commented on wonderful the whole meal was from start...

We visited Poachers Bar in Fort Augustus on New Year's day one of only 2 café bars open. What a welcome we received the barman could not have been more pleasant and the service was outstanding. Meals were plentiful and very reasonably priced and considering it was New Year's day all the staff were more than interested in where we...

Very welcoming, couldn't have done enough for us, ten arrived with no booking and they went out of there way to accommodate us. Food was amazing, all freshly home cooked, but quick to arrive. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were fantastic - wish we could've stayed longer! Highly recommend!

Room was comfortable with all the basics and enjoyed the breakfast. Hotel is part of a pub, but no issues. Good location on the main road and a few yards from the lochs. Hosts were very pleasant and helpful
