Stayed for 3 nights as part of a walking holiday to explore beautiful Scotland. The B&B is tucked away a couple of miles from Fort Augustus but easy to find if you're in a car following the directions. Elaine was a lovely host - very friendly and easy to talk to, sharing good info about the area. The superior double...

I was made completely at home in Mavisburn as soon as I arrived. It is superbly comfortable, with a lovely breakfast. The situation is peaceful yet within easy reach of Fort Augustus and the beautiful country around. What marks it out is the exceptional kindness of Elaine and John.

We stayed at Mavisburn after our first days cycling on the great glen way. Elaine was amazing from the moment she opened the door. What a lovely person. Elaine welcomed us into her home and showed us around the lower part of the house before taking us to our room. She then told us that after we had freshened up...

We lodged for two days. The house and the surroundings are beautiful, and comfortable. The house is surrounded by a beautiful yard which is surrounded by woods. The place is somewhat remote from Fort Augustus (10 minutes by car) which can be an added value for the people seeking a quiet place to stay.

Thank you so much for your review and I am so pleased that you found our little haven so comfortable. As you say we are a little way outside the village of Fort Augustus, but it is away from the hustle and bustle of the main area. Thank you so much and it was a pleasure to meet you both....

We greatly enjoyed our recent stay here. The B+B is located in a lovely quiet setting in the forest but is only about two miles from Fort Augustus, which has anything you may need such as shops, pubs, restaurants. The drive to the B+B through the forest is wonderful and the road well maintained. Our room was tastefully decorated, spotlessly...

A warm welcome awaits you at this B&B. Lovely bedroom on the first floor. This B&B is in a forest area of Fort Augustus, maybe for some people difficult to find, but well worth the effort. We had excellent instructions to get to this B&B. We were not the only people staying here, in fact this B&B was full all...

Elaine was very welcoming and gave us lots of great tips about what to see and where to eat, and both she and husband John were very helpful throughout. Breakfast was very good, and...

Well maintained, nice rooms. The hosts are lovely, very kind and helpful. We had cycled there and they stored our bikes away for the night and gave us a lift to and from Fort Augustus (2 miles away) for dinner. I was so relieved by this kind offer - I really didn't want to get back on the bike again...
