We just got back from our trip to the Highlands and our time at the St. Benedict's Abbey was a true highlight. We had booked our week's stay at the Caladh over a year in advance, so that was plenty of time to read reviews, look at pictures and hope that our experience was a good one. We arrived in...

We spent the second week of May here. The accommodation was spacious and well-equipped. We chose it for its access to a shared pool, sauna, steam room and games room, just in case it rained. We had our daughter and her partner with us, so we did not want them to be bored. It was excellent value for money and...

We expected this place to be good but wasn't expecting it to be so amazing. The setting is perfect right on the edge of Loch Ness with very easy access to Fort Augustus. The buildings are amazing and awe inspiring our son thought it was like staying in Hogwarts. The facilities were great from the swimming pool to the large...

My wife has a knack for finding amazing places, and this was the best. A former army post, then abbey, then school, now luxury accommodations. We had far too large a space for our needs, but it was wonderful and we stayed four nights. It is a fascinating structure which has been beautifully restored, modernized, and adapted to apartments. We...

Visited the Highland Club before and keep on returning! The building is stunning and spacious - a fabulous restoration mixing the rich heritage with modern facilities. There is lots to do for adults and children - football, tennis, badminton, croquet, chess, a children's play area, swimming, table tennis, cycling, water activities and of course lots of walks and trips in...

Booked 7 nights but left after 4 , felt like an abandoned building ! No concierge or reception is this places biggest down fall . As flats all privately owned, even though I booked mine through the site, when we had problems we were told it was down to a man in London to decide if we got a refund...

Our apartment in The Monastery had views forward over Loch Ness and to the side we could see the mountains. My shoulders instantly drop and my whole body relaxes in this idyllic location. This is a great base to visit surrounding areas and has more than enough on site and near the village if you don't want to drive. Children...

We stayed at The Highland Club in April 2016 for 5 nights. Our apartment located in the Old School was spacious, with high ceilings. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The flat comes with everything you need and we found it very clean. Its nicely decorated with touches of modern and tartan. Really comfortable. As it is in the...

My family and I stayed at the Highland Club during a visit to Scotland. Cannot say enough about how nice the apartments are at the club and the history tied to the Abbey. The way they have converted the space and kept the original Abbey in place is amazing. Waking up to see the shores of Loch Ness was equally...
