We were originally booked to spend Hogmanay at The Inch Hotel on Loch Ness, but renovations caused us to be moved to The Lovatt. We were welcomed and escorted to a beautiful room with well appointed en suite and a great view over the garden. Dinner was amazing and we very much enjoyed the comfortable lounge for reading and relaxing...

Second time here. At the south end of Loch Ness close to the Caledonian Canal Locks the hotel is well situated for a walking or driving holiday base. Lovely room, great food and nice staff. Well stocked bar and log fire. We had a three night break and will return again.

I spent an evening at The Lovat hotel in December and found it to have completely exceeded my expectation in every way. The staff were lovely and very helpful, taking the time to recommend things to do in the area. The room was perfect, just what we wanted for a night stay - clean, spacious and a really comfy bed....

A real home from home. Great rooms with views to die for. The staff are all great & couldn't do enough for you. The food is out of this world. It was all seasonal fair & all locally sourced, which is always great to see....Highly recommended.

Great location, staff and food with very comfortable room and reception area. Second stay and will definitely go back when up there again. It is definitely worth taking advantage of room and dinner option as locals travel in for the food speaking volumes.

Having been to the Lovat many times for a meal, including Christmas Dinner 2016 and twice before in their Station Road restaurant it was our number one choice when we were looking for a break close to home. Our first impression was wow, as tasteful refurbishment had taken place since our last visit, as far as we could see in...

If you're looking for a touch of luxury in your Highland break then this is the place! It isn't cheap but the food is divine the service excellent and the rooms are top notch. This is a great base for an exploration of the Highlands, whether you're going across to Skye, or up to Inverness, etc

Everything about the Lovat was great from start to finish ( & our revisit as I left my purse and they kindly called to let me know!). Staff were welcoming and without exception smiling, helpful and charming. The bar man deserves a special mention although I could not bring myself to try him winning cocktail with an egg! We were...

Very good food, and excellent service in the Brasserie, which is nicely appointed and welcoming. Only heard one native accent over the whole three-day visit, and the European staff were friendly, efficient and very well-trained - do hope the Brexit deal doesn't deprive them of their livelihoods, or their adventures in a foreign land. The room was comfortable and a...
