Spent 2 nights in the geodome with our 2 year old and dog, could not have had a more comfortable stay. The geodome is very spacious, cooking facilities in it are just what you need and the log burner makes it very cosy. Plenty of open space for my son and dog to run around and

We stayed in the Pod which is basically a small wooden hut - big enough for a double bed and tall enough for me to stand up in at 6'2"! It had a camping stove installed just inside the doors which was great for cooking. The pod itself got a little humid/damp during our 4 nights,

Stayed 3 nights but were unfortunately plagued by Midges in the morning and evening. The consequence was that we could not sit outside as a family - we had rented a tent and 2 wooden lodges (Glamping!) Facilities are basic but clean. As the lodges and tent are not powered there

Many thanks for leaving us a review. I'm afraid the Highland midge is a part of the natural environment along the North and West of Scotland in the summer months and everyone should come prepared or with an expectation of them. We have a comprehensive amount of advice on our website detailing the midges and what you can do. However we do all what we can to prevent them, we have a midge machine working on site, we keep undergrowth to a minimum, we sell midge repellent and nets (if you've not purchased any in advance) and we have a campfire area that all guest can use, as we've found that midges cannot penetrate through smoke clouds. In your booking you also booked our Bell Tent which comes with is own sheltered outdoor canopy that you as a family could have sat under and together, and there are many picnic tables on site for everyone's use. I don't think you can call any of our pods as basic; given that we provide bedding, we make the beds up ready for your arrival, we provide extra blankets if requested and there are hot water bottles. You also get a a two ring gas cooker (gas included), all crockery and cutlery provided, with a cool box and replenishable ice packs available and both our wooden pods have very bright solar powered lighting. Alongside which is a welcome pack of Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Hot Chocolate, Milk and biscuits there for your arrival. Therefore all you and others needed to bring with you is your own towels and or food. Electric is provided by charging devices in our reception area during our opening times, so you are not without electric. Our website has a vast array of information on it, where you will find advice on the midges and what guests can and should do when they bring their dogs with them, which also mentions the proximity of the campsite and the open gates to the main road. I'm afraid that the road we are set back from, is the only main road that is on Loch Ness, so therefore in the height of season it is at times busy with traffic. But the road noise is quiet in the evening and at night. Very few people have made any mention of this.

What an amazing place! We booked a grass pitch for 3 nights and had a great stay. Showers and toilets were in an excellent condition and the showers were hot. There is a safe area for setting up a BBQ and a firepit so they are well away from tents. It's only a small campsite

Many thanks for your lovely review Emma, we are so pleased you enjoyed your time here camping and our facilities. We are also so pleased that you enjoyed our natual setting. We are very fortunate with direct access to the Great Glen Way and the views out over the Loch from walking up there. Unfortunately the midges can be a real nuisance but we've also found smoke from the campfire or fire-pits can help too. We are very touched that you recommend us so highly, thank you. We hope to welcome you back to Inver Coille sometime again in the near future.
