Three of us booked up for dinner. Long time since I was there, and surprised how busy on a week day night. Lamb shank was excellent, and service very slick and attentive. This is now the best food location in the Black Isle, and definitely worth travelling to Cromarty for.

My wife & I had the good fortune to stay at this hotel again. This was the second time in a year that we stayed at this fine establishment and I cannot praise it too highly. The proprietor made us feel really welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble for her or the staff. The room was really...

We took 2 rooms for 2 nights, between Christmas and the New Year, whilst exploring the area. Upon arrival, everything was very easy and informal. It was so nice to see the log fires already going in the common areas. The rooms were very well appointed (we had one of the dog-friendly rooms), with great bathrooms, we were very impressed....

Our thanks to Jenny and her team for a lovely winter break, we loved the hotel. The rooms are well appointed, very clean with everything anyone could want. The food was delicious with large portions. The beach is right on the doorstep and there are lovely walks to take around the town as well as some interesting old buildings. The...

Called in one Friday evening whilst staying round the corner at The Factor's House. We did not go into the public bar but went straight into the bar in the resturaunt. We received a warm welcome and the place was very warm and comfortable. The menu was extensive but they had a three course festive special which had just started...

Called here several times now for food and drink. Staff are normally pretty hard going and don't exactly go out of their way to welcome you ( unless you're local ). Food has been decent enough but our most recent visit will probably be our last. To explain, we arrived early afternoon and decided to have drinks and coffees outside...

Margaret and I were in the area for a weekend break, my wife's ancestors are/were from the Black Isle and as she's presently engaged in researching that side of her family tree we decided to explore where they were born, married, died and were buried. Our travels took us to the village of Cromarty. Margaret was feeling a bit peckish...

Loved this place, very comfortable cosy rooms with a stunning view of the Cromarty firth from our window. Breakfast was delicious, loved the smoked salmon. Dinner was great too, very reasonably sized portions. I wish we'd stayed longer, would definitely recommend.
