Purchased a two night stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. Although not the most modern of hotels it was decent value for money. The room was small but clean. The location is handy for town and there's good views of the golf course. 3 course meal was better than I expected and the wine was also decent. The bar is...

We stayed here on a Sunday night as it was our anniversary and we got a very good deal. It was a beautiful day so after walking around Troon and the beach we enjoyed a light lunch and a glass of wine on the terrace overlooking the golf course. Lunch was good but staff were very slow at clearing tables....

Booked afternoon tea through Itison voucher. Pleasant staff - waitress asked if there were any special diatary or allergy requiremnts. However, had to ask three times for the soft drink that was ordered. First of pot coffee was luke warm (however the next pot was hot). One of the scones was very hard, but after complaining it was quickly replaced....

I booked a deluxe room and was given room 218, the shabbiest room I have stayed in for a long time. Bathroom curtain was ripped, furniture was old and worn, there were holes in the wall which they had filled with cement they hadn't even bothered to paint or cover the mess up. The paper looked as if it was...

Booked a day at the spa and lunch for my friends hen weekend, disaster from start to finish! If anyone was kind enough to return any of my phone calls previous to arriving we would be made aware that we were to be there more than 15 mins earlier than our appointment time instead of being told by the therapist...

Stayed for 2 nights (Sun/Mon). Check in quick and easy and made very welcome. Yes it is an older hotel but it has a special charm about it. We had a standard room, ok the view was over the back of the hotel and not the best but for the price paid it was fine. Food in restaurant and bar...

I had high expectations for this overnight stay with my husband, as my daughters have stayed here on several occasions and always spoke highly of the stay. Sadly though this was not the case for us. The hotel was very busy, as I appreciate lots of people were doing the same as us and using up the voucher that had...

Having visited this hotel before we were looking forward to our two day break however from check-in on it was on the whole disappointng. Breakfast on our 1st morning was dreadful. The staff seemed to be buzzing around without any organisation. The staff in the Arran Lounge were pleasant but again they seemed to be run off their feet. Room...

Dear Dorothy, I am truly very sorry you were treated so poorly & thank you for taking the time to convey your thoughts and sharing this disappointing experience with us whilst in Troon. I have only recently arrived from another hotel and acknowledge that there are some operational issues to resolve. This is more evident during any busy periods when...

We got a reasonable good deal for a one night stay here at the end of March. The hotel is in a lovely location overlooking the golf course and sea. You can tell that it has been an amazing hotel in its day with lots of history. However it is a little bit tired now. That said we checked in...
