Six of us, friends stayed at No 2 Troon road recently and we all recommend it. Douglas and Zoe were great and we were very comfortable in this little gem of a find. Convenient too to the ferry port. Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Douglas' breakfast was excellent and Zoe is a darling. Thank you for a short...

We stayed here during a recent trip to various special golf venues in Scotland. The room was perfect, spotless, comfortable and roomy. Our hosts, (Douglas & Rita? - Sorry, I am terrible with names memory) were just wonderful, super polite, interesting, good cooks and good knowledge of the area. Another reviewer says it was on the main traffic circle (roundabout)...

We spent our last two nights of our vacation in this marvelous, little B&B with a delicious breakfast. The welcome by Douglas was warm and cordial. He also gave us great advice where to go and what to see, e.g. a very nice day out at castle Culzean. Regrettably we did not have the time for another night there, but...

Great clean B&B, with very modern finishes, and nice decor. We stayed for a nearby wedding and had a pleasent stay with the host. The bed was a little on the small side for us, guess it was a double, but we're both slim and 6ft so were quite squished. I'd have booked a king if I went again. Great...

We stayed here a couple of nights in July. We had the room with two single beds. The whole place is very clean and the beds were soooo comfortable. Rita welcomed us in and was very kind and friendly. The day we arrived, I needed to see a doctor and she helped me find urgent medical care and tried to...

Stayed here for one night as there were no hotels available in Glasgow ( Thanks Bruce Springsteen). Very warm welcome by Douglas who was very knowledgable about the area. Was given the family room as the B&B was quiet. The room was very good quality with nice little touches ( chocolates in the room) There is plenty of tea and...

We stayed as a family of five at 2 Troon Road for 1 night. It was our first B&B experience, and honestly wasn't quite sure to what expect. I am delighted to report that the experience was wonderful! Douglas, the proprietor, warmly greeted us and was very helpful in providing local recommendations for restaurants and sight-seeing. The rooms were immaculately...

I travel to various Events in England, Scotland and Wales. This is the BEST B&B I have stayed in, and I return two or three times a year. A warm welcome from the proprietor, is matched by truly excellent facilities in clean and airy rooms, twin or double: breakfast is truly FRESH fruit salad, juice, cereal etc. and an Ayrshire cooked...

We stayed here for a single night before sailing from Ardrossan to Arran. I've stayed in worse hotels for double the money. This is a very good B&B, nice and clean, friendly hosts and excellent breakfast. We will certainly use this B&B when we are back in this area.

Just stayed 2 night at No. 2. Could not recommend it any higher. Douglas is a great host - fun, helpful and great at what he does. As mentioned in other reviews the house and rooms are spotless. Breakfast is varied and delicious (he does a mean full Scottish!). Couple of restaurants within walking distance and a three minute, if...

“As all rooms are on the first floor, and access is by a staircase, then if you are infirm, and not able to climb stairs, then this would cause you a problem, which would actually be your own problem with this B&B, as everything is excellent.”
