Loved every minute of our stay at the Brewhouse Flat. We stayed while the castle itself was closed but still managed to happily wile away 4 days without even leaving the grounds. The flat is massive - we couldn't believe it was all ours when we arrived. All very well equipped and nice and warm even in winter. The adventure...

A national treasure of a castle that is beautifully presented and has a large variety of things to do. NT members will get in free, otherwise this might seem pricey, but there is a lot here including the superb house and the children's adventure play area - both in fantastic condition. More background to the house and the Eisenhower link...

The grounds and the castle itself are just beautiful! The castle is surrounded by a large wooded park. There is a short walk from the car park to the castle of a beautiful ancient bridge. The castle is built on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Spectacular! When you enter the castle your first room is full of very old guns...

The bellboys made sure our stay was more than perfect. Elizabeth cooked my girlfriend a traditional Scottish breakfast which was absolutely delicious. The surroundings were breathtaking which put the cherry on the cake. The only thing I missed was a pleasant greeting from the hotel manager. She didn't seem to be very interested in our stay at the castle or...

We stayed with family and went there for an afternoon trip with 7 kids and 13 adults, some had difficulties walking due to recent injuries and some (my boys especially) needed to run. We parked by the coffee house and walked along the costal path towards the swan lake which was our meeting point. One car travelled down to swan...

We had a fantastic day here. Short walk up to the lovely restaurant and gift shop then a wander down to the castle. The castle was fantastic, full of wonderful heritage and a really enjoyable experience for everyone. I'm in a wheelchair and this was no problem for anyone there. The children loved playing in the castle play area too...

This is a hard review to write as some aspects of the hotel were fabulous while other aspects make a stay here - less than perfect. The Culzean Castle (The Scots pronounce it cuhl-leen) is a massive building with gardens and acres of woods and fields plus numerous outbuildings. It is a designated national Scottish treasure and is maintained by...
