What can one say about Lilac Bank that hasn't already been said? The accommodation remains first class, the breakfast is superb, and the hosts Paula and Graeme are consummate professionals who give hosting that puts some 5* places we've stayed to shame. The location is perfect for walking, running, biking or just chilling out, go there!!!!

This review was a very special one for us as this was a return trip for you. A three day stay with rather mixed weather, but you had no trouble filling your days, always starting with a pre breakfast run. It was a pleasure for us to get to know you a bit better and I know you hope to... More

We recently stayed at Lilac Bank and can highly recommend it. The house was gorgoeus, decorated beautifully, comfortable beds and had a lovely sitting room. The house had a lovely warm homely feel. Paula & Graeme were fantastic, both were so warm, friendly and welcoming. We would love to come back and stay again

Perfect stay in one of the best appointed and most welcoming b&bs I've ever come across. Having virtually self contained accommodation with our own lounge and access to our own bit of garden was lovely. The breakfast was superb. The welcome couldn't be faulted. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Thank you for giving such a positive review for us, your kind words and the time you have taken to make this review are very much appreciated. My friend and I stayed at Lilac Bank for 2 nights. We stayed here because of the close proximity to Culzean Castle which we wished to visit and it was also quite close to Dumfries House which we also wished to see. Ideal location for a wedding at Dalduff Farm. Beautiful accommodation and Paula and Graeme were great hosts. Comfortable bedroom with tea and coffee facilities and a lovely sitting room to relax and watch TV. Spotlessly clean. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

“There are two rooms: a double and a twin. I had the Twin, which is in the eves. The headroom was limited, (I am 6' 1"), but okay. On the first night it rained really hard and it was noisy as I was very close to the roof. My Dad slept like a log in the double room ( which is on the ground floor)”
