Stayed here on a voucher which was a last minute cancellation back in February due to work commitments. Hotel went out of their way to make sure we rebooked and ever offered an upgrade. Room wasn't ready on arrival at 2pm so they arranged our afternoon tea an hour early, which included a home made gluten free carrot cake (I've...

My friend and I visited Shieldhill castle for an overnight treat. The room was beautiful. We were lucky to get a room in the castle. The food was lovely and the staff were very nice and efficient. Will definitely return in the future.

Stayed here with partner for our anniversary. Arrived about 7 and was greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist Got booked in and taken to our room which was beautiful with a jacuzzi bath in bathroom! Got seated straight away in restaurant. Meal was lovely, had a daily menu. We got nice big portions. Cheesecakes particularly yummy! After dinner went back...

Having booked a two night stay DB&B with a bottle of Prosecco on an internet site for my wife's Birthday and our Wedding Anniversary we arrived to find that we were staying in one of the log cabins in the grounds of the castle. This was a bit disappointing and misleading as the website stated that the accommodation would be...

Our room Langside was absolutely freezing and we discovered that both sash windows were open and unable to close. We reported it to staff, yet it took until 11.30pm and four trips to reception before we obtained a heater. The mattress was new and bed comfortable. The room was not clean and was dusty, our ensuite was the worst I...

We had a lovely time here, food was good and our room in the courtyard was nice. Bargain £79 for two DBB and a bottle of bubbly. Location is very scenic and quiet. Beautiful place to visit, if you want to chill out and relax.

Alex Politzi needed here. Most of the staff pleasant enough but - NO evidence of Management at this establishment. Overnight stay was NOT what we expected. Room was freezing and it took staff until after 11pm to provide a heater despite several requests to do so. Starter of melon was a wafer thin - could not believe that anyone would...

After a lovely stay here over a year ago, we purchased deals to stay Friday and Saturday night with Itison and 5pm offers. Our stables room was large, fairly comfortable and warm, with a great wet room. The evening meal on the first night was O.K. however we waited 30 minutes to be shown to our table, the waitress told...

Where do I start... got the overnight as a Christmas gift. When my boyfriend and I arrived it took us 20mins to check it as other guests where demanding their room to be changed as the toilet and shower did not work! The food was horrible and £10.50 supplement for a steak which uneatable was sent back only for the...

We bought a 5pm deal which looked like good value for what was described on the hotel's website as a luxury hotel. However there was nothing luxury about the recently built wooden log cabins outside the hotel building. There was no soundproofing between the two rooms. When in the bathroom we could hear the couple next door talking and when...
