Very well situated in the heart of Scotland. Shops and main attractions are a stones throw away from Stirling. The place itself is very clean with all the mod cons. Great views, especially at night. Loved the history surrounding the place
Restaurant and dining room have been done up to a high standard. Bedrooms a little tired but clean, tidy and comfortable. Food in the restaurant diner and breakfast excellent. Thoroughly recommend the hotel.

We did not experience a lack of hot water - the shower was hot though the pressure was not great - it rarely is in hotels. So there was plenty of water, just not very forceful. The refurb didn't bother us at all and if you are aware of it before you go, it's hardly an issue. We liked this place, and it is in a great location. Hope this helps!
