Four of us visited for Hogmanay and had an excellent meal with very attentive staff. The whole place was buzzing as there was a ceilidh on while we were there.The hotel could do with better marking in the carpark.

We did not experience a lack of hot water - the shower was hot though the pressure was not great - it rarely is in hotels. So there was plenty of water, just not very forceful. The refurb didn't bother us at all and if you are aware of it before you go, it's hardly an issue. We liked this place, and it is in a great location. Hope this helps!
