On both occasions the bathroom radiators (electric towel rails) did not work, and there was lack on hot water (initially).
The noise from traffic hitting loose manhole covers directly outside...More
The food was ok, if slightly dated, but the service was appalling. Only two tables in the restaurant, and the three waiters somehow to neglect them, to the extent that they were standing at the bar chatting, with their backs turned to their guests.

We did not experience a lack of hot water - the shower was hot though the pressure was not great - it rarely is in hotels. So there was plenty of water, just not very forceful. The refurb didn't bother us at all and if you are aware of it before you go, it's hardly an issue. We liked this place, and it is in a great location. Hope this helps!
