Stayed at culcreuch castle on our way home from our wedding a few days ago , nice setting with a nice drive up a tree lined track with a loch at the side of the road , nice quaint check in area with open fire . We stayed in the honeymoon suite which as with all castle rooms was smallish...

My husband and I had an overnight stay last night. We had a very enjoyable stay, the hotel is lovely, just what you would expect from a castle Hotel. Our room was small but adequate and we did have the option to upgrade to a bigger room. The dungeon restaurant was very cosy , the food was excellent in the...

Stayed here for one night and the initial view as you come up the drive is impressive, a lovely small castle surrounded by woodland and a small loch. The reception area has a huge fireplace with a log burning stove, very nice. The winding staircase up to the bedrooms is lovely too with lots to look at. Our room was...

We had a really lovely meal in the "dungeons", perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. Good room with comfortable 4-poster bed. Slow shower, but everything else excellent. Had a lovely (rather wet!) walk in the beautiful grounds the next day. We'll be back!

A secret paradise. As I write I am thinking of this beautiful place. The staff are always wonderful, helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much for them you really are treated like the king and queen of the castle! The food is simply amazing, never anything disappointing on the menu with a great selection and freshly prepared. The rooms are...

Stunning location, luxury steeped in history, plus of course fresh salmon, finest scotch and good atmosphere The grounds are beautiful and worth exploring too. The castle itself is fascinating and lots to look at and read up on. Definitely book it as a romantic getaway!

Our trip to Culcreuch Castle was with a group of friends from Devon and also a past owner of the hotel who converted it to a hotel but has since sold it on. We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere and history for a Burns night celebration with three other couples from Scotland. We were lucky...

Very rustic surroundings ,not particularly comfortable in restaurant or bar area. The food was delicious but a little ambitious for the overall setting .High end cooking let down by a pretty tired setting .One massive shock was the single serving sachets of sauce on the table...this is a pricey menu and i would think a little more refinement is needed ....

Beautiful castle in beautiful surrounds. Unfortunately I had hurt my leg and wasn't able to take advantage of this. The food was ok, starters were lovely, but mains so so. We ate evening meal downstairs and the ambience made my night. Most of the staff were lovely and friendly. I had bought this trip on a deal as a Christmas...
