A secret paradise. As I write I am thinking of this beautiful place. The staff are always wonderful, helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much for them you really are treated like the king and queen of the castle! The food is simply amazing, never anything disappointing on the menu with a great selection and freshly prepared. The rooms are...

Stunning location, luxury steeped in history, plus of course fresh salmon, finest scotch and good atmosphere The grounds are beautiful and worth exploring too. The castle itself is fascinating and lots to look at and read up on. Definitely book it as a romantic getaway!

Our trip to Culcreuch Castle was with a group of friends from Devon and also a past owner of the hotel who converted it to a hotel but has since sold it on. We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere and history for a Burns night celebration with three other couples from Scotland. We were lucky...

Very rustic surroundings ,not particularly comfortable in restaurant or bar area. The food was delicious but a little ambitious for the overall setting .High end cooking let down by a pretty tired setting .One massive shock was the single serving sachets of sauce on the table...this is a pricey menu and i would think a little more refinement is needed ....

Beautiful castle in beautiful surrounds. Unfortunately I had hurt my leg and wasn't able to take advantage of this. The food was ok, starters were lovely, but mains so so. We ate evening meal downstairs and the ambience made my night. Most of the staff were lovely and friendly. I had bought this trip on a deal as a Christmas...

This is our third time staying at Culcreuch Castle for New Year and loved it even more- the castle is set in the most beautiful grounds and is full of history and character. I can't speak highly enough of the staff, especially Alyson and Marianne who are fantastic hosts. The rest of the staff can't do enough for you and...

Stopped here for 2 nights whilst en-route to Oban for Hogmanay. Accommodation was excellent and the staff where very polite and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend staying here and will no doubt be back in the future. Thanks to the Culchruech team for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We stayed two days in Culcreuch Castle Hotel and were drawn to the very fact of its 12th century historical significance. This idea, coupled with the immense estate grounds and large pond, the quietness and neat idea of a dungeon restaurant were all part of its overall historical charm. Of course, additions have been made since the 12th century, to...

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2016. The Castle itself was OK. The Hotel staff was a hit or miss. We stayed in the Lodge, which is NOT connected to the Castle Hotel, and is a 5 minute walk through the woods behind the Castle Hotel. We couldn't find any information or photos of the Lodge room on their...

What absolute poppycock! Of course the woodland lodges are not connected to the castle they are in front of the Galbraith Woods on the estate. There are 8 self catering lodges and it is not the "Hotel Lodge" and I cannot believe for one minute they are damp or moldy - why? - because I lived in one for 4...
