We spent three nights at Askernish B&B in Port Ellen, on the Isle of Islay. It proved to be a perfect base for exploring distilleries and walks in the area. Our room on the ground floor was clean and comfortable, although slightlycozy for two people. The bathroom was updated, and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. Breakfast...

Me and my father had planned a trip to Scotland for a whiskey trip. We found this lovely b&b nearby the port of port ellen(literally only 100m). Joy, the host of this beautiful b&b gave us a big welcome! It felt already like a good place to stay. In the days we were here (4 days in total) joy helped...

We found this little gem of a B & B last minute. It was perfectly located near the ferry we were going to depart from early in the morning. Joy is wonderful! She did her best to make sure everyone is happy during her stay. Her breakfast was delicious!

Our recent stay was good. The rooms have been updated and good size. The owner, Joy, is amazingly helpful with your itinerary and making arrangements, and she makes a nice breakfast. The location in the area is good and walking distance to 3 distilleries, with a small hotel next door that provides a nice bar and great food for lunch...

Great location just off the ferry at Port Ellen. Our host, Joy, cooked some great breakfasts; Poached Haddock; Kippers and the full Scottish. We only needed a light lunch afterwards! The rooms were warm, spotless and my bed was really comfortable. Stefano Domenicali, if you ever visit Islay you have to stay here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Askernish. The room was huge, particularly the en-suite, with views of the sea. Breakfast was lovely and Islay itself is such as beautiful island, with the friendliest people. Joy really helped to make the holiday - she gave me advice about ferries and planning when I initially booked and after telling her I was...
