Can't fault this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. We had our 8month old German Shepherd with us and she was also warmly welcomed and our room was perfect for travelling with a dog. We had room 11. The staff help make this hotel what it is. We had 4nights and every single...

Nice friendly welcome on check in. Given Room 1 which unfortunately is above the kitchen. Had a disturbed night due to the noisy "thrumming" of the kitchen fans. The room itself was comfortable and nicely furnished. The receptionist could not have been more concerned and helpful and quickly moved us to a very comfortable and quiet room on the second...

This hotel is in a prime location right when you exit the ferry port in Port Ellen. Our room was very nice and spacious. We did eat there and the food was good at a good price and staff was very helpful. There are 3 distilleries just a few miles up the road as well. Great stay

Enjoyed three nights at The Islay Hotel with my girlfriend. Excellent room with a comfy and spacious bed, very friendly and service minded staff and a good hotel restaurant. The breakfast was really good and we enjoyed two seafood dinners there. A very nice location and an excellent starting point for exploring the island.

A 10/10 experience - we loved staying here. We were greeted by professional and friendly staff, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The location was central. But then Port Ellen is small and easily accessible by foot.
