We stayed 3 nights. A very good welcome and room clean and tidy. We had an en-suite room overlooking the moorland. Very good breakfast, great fruit salad and coffee. I would stay again. Great position for exploring Lewis.
Turned up off the boat last night and as soon as Helen opened the door and smiled I knew I would have a good nights rest. Went out of her way to make me a packed lunch as I was leaving before breakfast. Thanks very much for the lunch it’s perfect!
Lathamor is in a great location, on the hillside overlooking Stornoway, easy to find from the ferry - important after a long journey! Helen is a very attentive hostess and made us feel at home throughout the two day visit. The lounge is a great place to relax, with panoramic views and the rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great breakfasts with good quality ingredients......including the famous Stornoway black pudding.
From the outside Lathamor B&B might look not too exciting, but don´t let that distract you. Helen is an absolutely wonderful host and excellent cook, the shared bathroom spacious and the rooms spick and span clean. We 3 friends had had a rather rough start into our holidays and in the end only one traveled as planned to Stornoway that day while two of us did an unplanned detour overnight via Edinburgh. Even with all the chaos and my short notice phone call Helen had been very understanding and helpful. Once we had been reunited her warm welcome and plentiful breakfast had really been soothing our nerves. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality, dear Helen. Be asured ,when we plan our next Western Isles trip, we will check with you and Lathamor B&B for vacancies first!…
