This review would have scored higher had it not been for the noise of what I assume to be the kitchen staff cleaning up until 11pm on a hot and balmy night which meant the room window had to remain open. It was out bad luck this happened on our last night when the alarm was set early to get up for the ferry. The other nights were fine to be far and the staff and breakfast were excellent.

This is an ok hotel. Think Travelodge or Premier Inn and you won’t be disappointed. The rooms are large and clean and the beds are comfy. The restaurant downstairs is a bit soulless as it feels more like a canteen at the moment but the food is good and the service is pleasant enough. It’s a good location to explore the rest of the island. Be warned though it can be noisy in the evening as the local entertainment seems to consist of driving souped up hot hatches around the town centre.

Porterage available, disabled room available by lift, very welcoming and friendly staff, excellent meals, clean and comfortable. The only drawback I found was that the duvet was so short it barely reached above my waist - but then I an 1.88m tall!

Great place to stay, would recommend to anyone! Hotel is perfect for town, staff are amazing, nothing to much trouble. Breakfast was great too! Evening meal was good with good portions and servers really polite. Shout out to Amy on reception for a smooth check in, a delight to be of acquaintance. Only negative point was, hotel was at good capacity but no residential lounge!
