Detailed Reviews
Stayed for two nights and overall liked the hotel, especially the view across the water. Our room was well proportioned, spacious and prepared to a high level of cleanliness. The bathroom in particular was well thought through and the shower optioned worked perfectly. Food in the restaurant is thoughtfully prepared, we ate there for two nights. Portions are perfectly sized and everything seems to be cooked fresh - The sea bass is especially good and there's some great puddings too, especially the cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. Breakfast options are varied and done well to pre-order from the night before. The staff we interacted with had plenty of youthful enthusiasm and were very polite. A couple of considerations, in our room, noise from the bar/restaurant/down below did filter into our room after 11.00pm which as a little annoying as it went on for a quite a while. Also one of the dining areas in particular seems a little spartan and lacks a homely touch. It may be just be covid based but some thought on the lighting, some table candles, some pictures on the bare walls etc might just make it feel that little bit more welcoming and warm. Small touches that would next time make thsi a five star rating.

We stayed three nights in a really spacious, comfortable room with two windows and a sofa overlooking sea views and a well-equipped bathroom.
Staff gave us a warm welcome and some tips of what to see and do, directing us to a beach at Sleat Point which was the highlight of our trip to Skye. The well-travelled housekeeper was particularly cheery and good at her job, whereas other hotels had told us they could not service rooms during our stay on account of Covid.
It was great to have a good (and busy) restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner each day, (we will review the food separately) and we felt very much at home. Being a popular inn, there was a lively vibe of chatter and music until late but in a way the generally Celtic music added to the atmosphere of the trip for us and we met some lovely locals in the restaurant each night, which made up for a little less sleep.
This was not the plushest or most fancy of the places we stayed but we we very comfortable and could happily have stayed there for a full week, opening the curtains each morning and climbing back into bed just to admire the view. (This stay was booked for us by a Travel Counsellor as part of a longer trip, so we cannot comment on value for money.)

Stayed for one night in Room 1, a spacious suite at the front of the building overlooking the bay.
We arrived later than intended because of an incident on a single-track road that resulted in it being impassable for well over an hour, but were delighted that the inn had made sure that we would still have a table for dinner if we wanted it. Both the bar and restaurant seemed to be popular locally, and the menu reasonably varied and well priced.
Check-in was seamless and staff helpful. First time I've ever had my temperature checked before staying at a hotel, but on the whole felt COVID precautions were sensible and not "over the top" as unfortunately has become the case at some venues.
Our room had a comfortable sitting area and all the amenities we could have hoped for. Bathroom a little small, but perfectly adequate and very clean. Main door to the room had a moderate gap (maybe a couple of centimetres?) underneath allowing some light from the corridor to enter. Chose this over other larger hotels nearby for the smaller, friendlier atmosphere and as there aren't a large number of rooms there wasn't much disturbance from other guests moving around despite being near the staircase. Overall a very comfortable nights sleep.
Armadale port is a five minute drive and there are 6 or 7 ferries to Mallaig daily in summer.

This hotel is situated 20 minutes walk from the ferry at Armadale, ideal if you are visiting Skye without a car. It was absolutely superb. The manager, Steve, and staff were great: friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms were excellent: clean, very well equipped and comfortable. We had a suite overlooking the bay. The food was first rate and beautifully prepared (although we would have appreciated fruit at breakfast). The hotel has no lounge, but has a very cosy bar and a games room. Great walks around and Armadale castle and grounds (three quarters of a mile away) are well worth visiting. We'd love to go back

We have been visiting the area for several years now, and we always go here for at least one meal and drinks. We consistently find a warm welcome, great food, and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
And most recently during Covid we all felt safe and confident in the cleanliness and procedures, which the team worked hard to make sure didn't detract from the experience. Well done to all.

Visited for dinner! Food was really tasty & staff were super friendly. I would say the haggis Bon bons starter size was very small for the £5.50 charged. Accessible parking to the rear! Very tasty indeed.

Cosy Hotel, beautiful views. Dog friendly. Very good location for the ferry over to Mallaig, Armadale ferry port is just around the corner. The room was cosy, spacious and a large bathroom, the only criticism was the shower had hardly any power.

+1
This is a charming old white pained ex-coaching inn next to the sea. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was specious, room enough for an armchair and a table. It was bright, light and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and had quality bedding; excellent bathroom with good quality towels and heated towel rail. There were wonderful views across the Sound of Sleat to the Knoydart mountains on the Scottish mainland. Excellent breakfast – cereals, porridge, eggs Florentine, smoked haddock, yoghurt, Hebridean breakfast etc. We did not eat dinner there but I had the impression that it is a good place to eat. They also have a very pleasant bar. It was an excellent choice of accommodation. The Armadale-Mallaig ferry to the mainland is just a short distance away. There is a number of local products, retail outlets, there too.

We were staying on Skye for five nights in the same location. Recommended by a local, we turned up with a dog on the first night. The dog friendly bar was full so they accommodated us by offering a table in the games room. Although the menu was changeable because of Covid19, we ordered our food and wondered what we would get. It was excellent. So excellent that we eat there every night afterwards. A flexible place in changeable times, somewhere you can trust.

We popped in for a quiet lunch, however one large family and friends were extremely noisy, especially their children who were sitting behind us while their parents were at the other end of the pub - we couldn't hear ourselves think! The food was mediocre- half a bowl of soup with sandwiches that were soggy and made from cheap supermarket bread. At £18.70 for this it was definitely not worth it. Extremely disappointed and we won’t be back. We used to visit years ago and had a lovely pub lunch with relaxing atmosphere.

I think so
You could certainly get a room for 2 and another for 1. But why not email Richard at the Ardvasar Hotel. (I can't post a link here - "Google" it yourself) He's very helpful. And I hope that you'll love Scotland! The scenery is spectacular, the people friendly.
