Friendly welcome and tea on arrival, excellent home-cooked evening meals and hearty breakfasts, comfortable rooms, knowledgeable hosts, panoramic views and even the odd dram or two of special whisky - what more could the visitor want!

When you are lucky enough to have great hosts, superb breakfasts and a lovely AND convenient location on the Isle of Skye, then you must be staying at Tir Alainn! Ron and Pam are warm, genuine, and knowledgeable of all things Skye. They made sure that my husband and I and our two friends were most comfortable and outfitted with...

I just had one of my best vacations ever. Two close friends, my sister, and I spent 3 nights at the Tir Alainn Bread & Breakfast on the Isle of Skye. We had an amazing time. The fresh clean air and gorgeous natural environment all around us was cleansing and restorative. The B&B is private and tucked away off a...

The most wonderful part about Tir Alainn are the warm and welcoming hosts, Pam and Ron. Their knowledge of Skye is extensive and they’re eager to share it. Our double room was comfortable, complete with nightstands and lamps okay for reading, upholstered chair, and a dressing table. Small details like lovely linens and cotton balls in the bath are appreciated....

I stayed at Tir Alainn in May this year, on a trip to attempt the Cuillin Ridge traverse. Pam and Ron were very kind and welcoming hosts, who went well beyond the call of duty in drying out wet clothes, making early breakfasts for me (before their normal breakfast hours) and even sharing a glass of Ron's cask-strength Talisker. The...

We have just completed a three day stay in the special home of Pam and Ron. We truly felt at home away from home. We will miss the special breakfasts in which we learned all about Scotland types of smoked fish; the detailed touring advice accompanied by maps; and the evenings spent learning from Ron all about whisky. Ron and...

We had an awesome time. Ron and Pam are the sweetest hosts. They came to pick us up from the local town seeing as we didn't have a car. Pam is a wonderful cook (the smoked salmon is delicious) and Ron was always willing to share a joke and a drink with us. Pam recommended the restaurant Red Skye to...

We enjoyed talking of books and life; slept soundly in a clean, comfortable, and quiet room; and savored the breakfast served before discovering the Isle of Skye. The hosts, Pam and Ron, are particularly good at making you feel welcome and directing you to favorite places.

Amazing views out to sea, hearty Scottish (or vegetarian) breakfasts and welcoming, warm and incredibly helpful hosts. Pam and Ron know the Isle of Skye like the back of their hand and are able to help plan your trip and recommend restaurants etc. The B&B is ideally located, not too far from the bridge off the island. Couldn’t have asked...
