Location is good . The living and dinning / kitchen area is bit messy and full of so many things. The bed room was nice tidy and clean . There is a separate bathroom facilities upstairs; it will be great if there is another shower facilities downstairs. The owner made very good breakfast for us . You can easily reach to all the attractions from this place .
Uig pier only 5-7 minutes drive . Uig hotel and restaurant , Small shops , petrol station , cafe , whisky store are very close to this place. Remember to go to those places in the early afternoon/evening . In the isle of Skye everything closes bit early.

NB : you need little bit extra petrol or diesel for your car because of hilly - mountainous road . Don’t follow your normal average MPG.

On a very positive note, the bedroom was lovely, clean and comfy with a super view.
The two points that I feel need addressed (especially considering we're paying £90 for BnB) are the parking and the breakfast.
The parking is incredibly tight and not easy to get in and out of at all.
Secondly, the breakfast is continental and self service. This is prepared the previous day, left in a tray in the fridge. Now, this may suit some people but personally I feel it is quite a lazy method, no sign of the owner, whilst we're in their really untidy kitchen, attempting to make tea and toast. We gave up.
Perhaps if this was classed as Air BnB, then I could understand but you're selling yourself as a professional BnB, charging nearly £100 a night.
The least you could do is tidy up your kitchen and do your washing up before you go to bed at night!!!
By the looks of your previous reviews, you used to supply a good cooked breakfast, I think this is what (some) people expect from a traditional Highland BnB.
I also think you should use your front door entrance for guests, rather than going through your kitchen area.
Time to treat your business as a professional service rather than a casual money making plan.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We had the ground floor room with twin beds. The beds were very comfortable and the room clean. The room are not en suite here but it’s fine. There is a toilet on the ground floor just outside the bedroom and a shared bathroom, shower and toilet upstairs. The view from all the guest rooms is fantastic.
The location is great, minutes from the harbour at Uig and only a few miles to Portree.
Angus, the host is pleasant and helpful.

Skylarks Cittage is a cosy, quiet place to stay. A warm welcome from the owners Sarah & Simon with the extra touch of fresh flowers, fizz and scones gave it a personal touch. Central to many different places of interest abd would highly recommend.

Just stayed at Saetr Cottage and what a lovely break it was! Cottage and surroundings are beautiful, so peaceful sitting out in the landscaped garden listening to the birds. The owners provide everything you need, including wifi and Netflix. If you're looking for a relaxing break with plenty of scenery then this cottage is ideal. Really enjoyed our stay here (just would have liked a shop within walking distance)

We have just returned from a fabulous week at Turin Nurin in Tomatin Scotland. The Cottage was perfect for us in every detail. The location and tranquility are a delight. The Cottage has everything you need, well equipped kitchen, laundry and the under floor heating a bonus. The bedrooms and bathrooms are in very good order with plenty of hot water. Every thing was spotlessly clean. We very much enjoyed viewing the varied wildlife from the panoramic window. Thank you. Recommended.

I’m torn on this review. Reading reviews from guests who stayed previously the reviews were outstanding. That is why I booked it. Now after our experience and reading the most recent reviews it seems like something happened, for the worse.

When we pulled up in the taxi our driver was nervous for us to stay. Then Angus creeps out the side back door and motions us inside. The kitchen was a mess, shoes piled up, dishes in the sink and dinner on the stove. We had a tour of the place and then stayed in our room. We were so uncomfortable there.

The room was nice, it was clean and very comfortable. The property had a great view and even though we were 12 miles from Portree and a mile from Uig getting around was easy with the busses.

This really should be listed as an Air BnB and not a real B & B. Not for the price and what we got.

After our initial tour of the place we never saw the owner again. The breakfast plate that was left for the TWO of us had (1) packaged crossiant, some cheese and sliced meats. There was not enough for both is us and we had to pick who got what. I was expecting a real breakfast.

Of all the places we stayed on our two week trip, this was a let down.

We booked two nights here as part of our wedding anniversary trip to the Western Isles. The reviews all looked great and we were looking forward to two days on the Isle of Skye. Unfortunately , the evening before we were due to visit , we received a message from the host to say that he had cancelled our booking as he could not contact us. We were not contactable as we were on the summit of Ben Nevis. We rang and were told our room had gone. Sorry but this is really bad . To lose your booking the night before you were due to arrive! We have now had to spend hours of our holiday trying to find somewhere else to stay tonight.

We booked both rooms in this Croft to accommodate our family of four. The bedrooms, location and view was all great and provided a good base to explore Skye. The real downside was the breakfast which was a tray made the day before with stale croissants. We had to make our toast and coffee in a kitchen which was untidy with the owners left over meal and dishes from the previous night. In addition there was no coffee so bring your own or better still eat out. Our television was also broken and you couldn’t turn it down from the full volume. Unfortunately there was no sign of the owner during our stay to seek this to be rectified. When I pay this sort of money, I also expect the owner to check in and make sure all is well -it’s just decent service which was non existent here. This aside, I loved Skye and did not it this ruin my trip. If you view this place as an Air BNB and not a B &B you will not be disappointed. The bedrooms and bathroom upstairs were comfortable and clean. I would not recommend this if you are hoping for a decent breakfast and a personal touch and personally I would book elsewhere were I to return.
