We booked a last minute pitch on this campsite for 2 x tents without electric.

The host was fantastic, very friendly and relaxed.

We could pick any space to camp, the shower/toilet facilites had very hot showers and were clean.

There are facilities to wash clothes on the site and charge electrical items, which were very handy features for us.

The site is locked at night, at around 2200hrs and unlocked at 0700hrs for peace of mind and security.

What an amazing place. Although I wasn't planning to stay, I called in as part of my journey, and the staff were more than helpful in making me feel welcome and allowing me to stock up on water, wash clothes, etc. etc. The site itself is in a wonderful position and well kept, tidy and with superb views. Despite my fleeting visit on this occasion, I would definitely have it high on my list for a longer stay in the future, and can strongly recommend it, whether you are with a tent or a campervan/motorhome.

Originally called after finding the number on Google and booked last minute for two nights camping for two, fit us in no worries.

Everything was clean and the pitches were well kept and maintained. The showers and toilet blocks were freshened up regularly and clean and loved that they had a hair dryer free of charge (was a life saver!) Use of washers and dryers with small cost, charging ports in the wash room so campers can charge up devices which I thought was fab!

Lovely chilled and relaxed environment and well priced for the location! 20 mins away from old man of storr and close by to Portree too.

Would 100% recommend and will definately stay again.

This site just gets better and better, in all aspects, I have been coming here for the past 6 years and have always found the site good but over the past couple of years it's now be now the best site in Skye.
Easy to book, easy friendly checkin, good value for money, very clean facilities which are cleaned regularly, level pitches are a bonus but have lost the fun or fights watching others trying to level their vans.
Good size pitches all round, and a good mix of travelers, nice new bushes and tables around the site make a nice addition. Great work all round and it really shows. 5 star!

Large site with good sized camping, caravan and motorhome pitches. Short walk to town. Toilets and shower blocks badly in need of upgrading and the facilities need to be cleaned more often due to the number of guests. Over priced compared to other sites that offer better facilities.

A very clean and well-maintained site. Good facilities and a perfect location. What makes staying at this campsite so special is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - they just cannot do enough to make sure you enjoy your stay.
I was booked for a solo tent pitch and as I arrived the wind and rain started. The member of staff in the office came outside and told me I could pitch my tent anywhere I wanted but pointed out two locations suitable for providing the best shelter from the wind.

Every time we met, he made sure everything was ok.

Intend to visit Skye again next spring, and this is where I will stay again; no question!

Thank you Portree Caravan and Camping Site for providing exceptional service.

We stayed at Torvaig Caravan and Camping Site for 5 nights. We chose the campsite for it’s proximity to Portree. - a brisk 25 minutes into town. 35 minutes uphill back to the campsite. It is not just that the campsite is near to town that makes it a fabulous place to stay. The views around the site are stunning. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The shower, toilets and laundry were all well equipped and clean - an added bonus was a good supply of hot water!
This campsite has become one of our favourite places- we’ll be back

We stayed on this site last Thursday for 3 nights…..great place with gorgeous views of the distant Cuillins. A short walk from Portree, the site and facilities were spotless and Ross the owner was very helpful and friendly. We look forward to our next stay here👍.

Lovely campsite, well laid out with room for tents, hard standing for motorhomes and camper-vans. Some were EHU. Well maintained toilet and shower block. Large pot wash and laundry room. Weather was extremely wet the day we arrived and lot of people were using the space to dry boots and walking equipment. A bit of a walk from town. Will definitely return.

Just back from a 7 night stay at the campsite and had a great week. The site has a view of the Cuillins on a clear day and Portree is within walking distance or a short drive away. The campsite staff were friendly and didn’t mind our questions about walks in the area. The staff do a walk around about 10 and this makes for a very quiet site after this time which can be a problem on other sites I have visited. We had everything we needed in terms of facilities and everything was cleaned regularly. I would definitely book this site next time I visit the Isle of Skye.

We arrived without booking at 4pm Thursday last week. By 7pm when we drove off for dinner, it was full. I'd say you get a spot for a few days as long as you arrive at a reasonable time on the first day. Torvaig was the only site that got full. All other sites we visited had spare places.

"Try and go when the weather is decent which is pretty hard in Scotland. But the views when it's less cloudy and rainy will be even more breathtakin"
