What a delight to stay with Kirsty and Simon for 3 days. They are wonderful warm hosts and Simon’s food is “to die for”. We really looked forward to our breakfasts and they were able to save us some pies for a light evening meal if we wanted to eat in. Our room was spacious, homely and beautifully furnished. The location is perfect for exploring the Trotternish Peninsula and beyond. If you have a car nothing is too far away for a day’s exploration.

If you are looking to get away from it all this is your place. The Glenview is a hidden gem that has left a lasting impression on us and our visit to Skye. Simon is a trained chef who creates amazing dishes as well as traditional pies and pies with a modern influence. The breakfasts were creative and delicious. Krista, one of the owners, cheerfully greeted us each morning and was very helpful with any questions we had. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the inside of the inn exuded warmth and a welcoming atmosphere. If you are looking to hike Old Man of Storr and/or The Quiraing the inn is centrally located.

We only got to stay here one night but it was worth it! Very close to the must-see and do sights. Our room was spacious, and quite comfortable with a large bath and plenty of room for our luggage etc.
We arrived in time (as planned) so we could have lunch. Their pies are delicious and they are only open for lunch, so we didn't want to miss out. It worked out perfectly, as we had purchased some sandwiches for our dinner later on and didn't have to go out and find a place to eat dinner. They chilled a bottle of champagne we had brought along and allowed us to eat our dinner sandwiches downstairs at a sweet little table in a sitting room. The whole place is just charming with the decor being centered around Kirsty's love for knitting. We met Simon the pie maker and Kirsty's husband and their son who was adorable. It's so nice to feel like you are at home when traveling and these folks work hard to make that happen. I would come back here again for sure.

Not cheap, quirky decor, nice cakes and soft drinks.

The scallops black pudding and spinach pie was ridiculously good.

Near to storr, kilt rock, lealt falls, Staffin it's a handy spot for refreshments.

They even had a young kid helping out when we went and he was funny.

Would go back.
