We walked in on spec and were offered a double room for £70. We were shown the room by a polite and friendly lady, although the room was very small we took it as it was very convenient for the ferry the next day. We paid and were told to come back after 4pm which was when check in opened. Very odd as it was about 3pm and the room was obviously ready. The room and ensuite were very clean, just very small. For breakfast I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg, my husband had the full breakfast and there was a selection of cereal and juice too. All was good except the cheap sausage which my husband left. Overall, OK for a night but probably wouldn't choose to stay again.

It was difficult to find accommodation for my spur of the moment trip to Skye but was fortunate to find this B&B.

My hosts were friendly and helpful and my room was clean and incredibly quiet.

Breakfast was tasty.

My only issue was I had the only room that wasn't en-suite and had to use a private bathroom opposite. Not a major concern though.

Based on price, I would certainly go back.

Stayed here for one night in a two bedroom caravan within the grounds of the house.
Ideally located for the Calmac ferry as it is just beside the terminal.
There is a pub/restaurant directed across the road which offers food and drink.

After a weekend of camping in the rain whilst visiting the Island, we very much needed somewhere dry to bed down for the night. This was the last place that was available on the night, and we were so lucky to get it! A gorgeously spacious, cosy caravan in a great location. Very comfy beds, and the electric fire is a wonderful bonus! Had a great stay here, and we would definitely stay again. Our queries were handled quickly and in a very friendly manner by the cool guy hangin oot the windae. SambucaPrawns loves it!

1.) The room was so small that you cannot get a suitcase in AND open the door! 2.) The bed had cushions on it that cannot possibly be sanitized when washing. Obviously hadn't because there were hairs on it. 3.) NO WIFI unless you pay extra. And it was already overpriced. 4.) The view from the window is right into a mobile home. You are so close that YOU are on view to them. 5.) Hostess was a "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am" sort. Put us in the room and we were left standing with all sorts of questions. 6.) Shower not working. No matter what temp you select, it goes back and forth between 3rd degree burns and ice. You just stick your hand in mid way to catch some water then step back to avoid a hospital visit. 7.)Salmon and scrambled eggs looked more like salmonella and scrambled eggs. MUCOID eggs! She grabbed my plate and rushed off...didn't even stop to ask why I had shoved it away and was eating dry cereal for breakfast.

Our group stayed at this caravan park during September 2015, and we will not go there again. Although it is very close to the ferry terminal & shops, restaurants, local bar/cafe that is all it has going for it.
The owners were most unhelpful regarding local information.
Our caravan had no heating or hot water and no emergency number to call for help,.When discovering these faults at 10pm, I attempted to visit the owner's house (next door) only to find it in darkness. Others in our party had similar problems & all said the caravans were cold (even if they had heat!)
The owners were happy enough to take our money.
Their approach was completely unprofessional, and appeared very grumpy.
The area got very noisy when pub users came out to smoke and when leaving, which was worrying when travelling with children who heard the noise.
I would not recommend this accommodation, no matter how desperate you are for a place to stay.
No wifi, no play area & don't risk children playing on the grassy area as the owners will shout at them/you!!!!

I know you cant please everyone all of the time, but this was really an apology for Scottish hospitality!!!! Everywhere we had been on our 30 day Scottish tour up until we came here was nothing short of perfect! All I can say is their attitude appeared to be just give me your money and then its every man for them selves! I asked if there was a hardryer available and was told the caravans were self catering!!!!!! Has anyone out there ever EATEN a hair dryer? The cleanliness left a great deal to be desired, to the point of neglect and laziness. Unless you are desperate I would say avoid this like the plague

The Orassay B&B was seriously the most disgusting property I have ever stayed in. After an extremely long drive at the start our Scottish holiday we arrived at the Orassay. At once the shabby dirty condition of the place was obvious, but it was too late to retreat, where else could we find with a ferry departure early the next morning!
The room was at the end of a dingy hallway. Out host was not impressed with our concerns that this surely was not the room we had agreed to pay £80 for. The one bedside lamp was in pieces as was the one in the bathroom. The dirty window looked out on to a yard full of trash and into a close by caravans window.
The bathroom was so small even I at only 5' tall had to side sideways on the loo. Black mold grew up the shower stall and I doubt the room had ever been cleaned properly. A filthy net curtain stiff with.. I hate to guess what..at the grubby window.
I don't like rooms where I have to put my shoes on to walk to the toilet. The bed was lumpy, the pillows smelt. But...this was not all. Next door was a bathroom used by other rooms, and the walls were paper thin. The loud doors slamming was not the only noises clearly heard most of the night. It was like the cheapest student hotel only 100 times worse.
We did not get much sleep obviously. Another mistake was to look into the chaotic mess of a kitchen and the grubby staff. No flexibility on the times for breakfast for early ferry departures seems unimportant now as the food was inedible, full of grease and served by an indifferent waitress.
This was our first experience of Scotland. With a further month of travelling to go it was not a good start.
The price was exorbitant. £10 would have been too much.
I DO NOT recommend this property. It should be condemned.

Booked this as it was handy for the ferry terminal at Uig. Louvre door separeted the toilet from the bedroom and it didn't close properly. Not really acceptable as you can see and hear everything through this. Cannot understand how tripadvisor have given this 3 stars!! Quite shabby in gerneral. Perhaps other rooms are better, but would not recommend the one we stayed in, especially is you are going with anyone other than your partner!!

On first day went to the tea room ans signed up for 14 nights, there were a number of faults we discovered in the first 2 days,so I listed them
1] there was no heating throughout only an electric fire in the front room,
2]We was not told that that you you needed to pay a £1.00 at a time to access the electric fire'
3]There were not a lot of plugs in rooms to plug in phones, laptops etc and no extension plugs supplied.
4]There are no laundry facilties at all on site nearest is in the next village a substantial drive away.
5]lack of crockery and utensils if long stay in the caravans,i.e,no pint glasses or kids tumblers etc,no corkscrew, scissors, whisk, egg cups, potato peeler, tongs to handle food, baking trays
6[poor phone/sat nav signals
7]no internet access at all
8]no washing up bowl supplied
9]old toaster needs updating
10]No bedside lamps supplied a must for you you to see in the small spaces beside the bed to be able to see where you are going.
11]No extra blankets or pillows supplied in case needed.as no heating in caravans
12]No curtain provider or door to front room/kitchen
13]There are no leaflets to say what is on in and around area.
14]Cafe was never open
15]No clock in caravans to keep checks on times etc
16]the televisions
need updating as ours was old and was faulty and was not replaced]
17]Restaurant prices are a real rip of so be aware of what you are ordering
I would never go there again I am sure there are more problems i could comment on but unfortunately my sister in law died of cancer aged 28yrs old so we had to leave,
my advice is go camping or take our own camper so you dont have to stay long
