Situated 200 to 300 yards from the ferry office ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MAIN ST past the church heading East. This is a delightful B&B in a great location with uninterrupted views across the bay to the South. Its quiet but within a short walk of the village center - under 5 minutes It gets a 5* because its...

Great location, views out to sea and near the facilities of Tarbert. Friendly hosts, very quiet location and generous breakfast. Rooms were comfortable if somewhat dated and shower was ok rather than great but overall a good place to stay.

we had one night there, was close to the Hotel hebrides for food (which was excellent), hosts were very friendly, an early breakfast was not a problem at all when we asked for it, parking was easy all in all, very good value for money. it is not luxurious but it is more than worth the amount charged and it...

Arrived late after coming up from Leverburgh via Northton and St Clements. Given an excellent "room with a view", a plate of cake and other lovely munchies to have with my tea. Into bed almost straight away. Had a most peaceful sleep. Porridge followed by a full breakfast in the morning, just what was required. Excellent.

Mrs Morrison is a wonderful example of Island hospitality. Our party of 7 stayed with her during a cycle of the Hebrides and our stay with her was one of the highlights. Her porridge was the best ever and certainly got us up the hills of Harris. This is the house she was born in and whilst it might not...

What a lovely guest house. There are three rooms and I had the single room, which is definitely on the small side but it has everything one needs. A slice of cake is a lovely little gesture - yesterday it was chocolate cake; today a fruit cake. The room does not have a television but there is a nice lounge...

Booked last min with my work for one night. If you have anything bigger than a standard car don't try driving to the door you will lose a mirror or 2. Woman very friendly who owned the place showed me to my very very flowery wall paper room.. View was fantastic from my window thank god as there was no...

It's rather a steep walk up to the B&B but that means that the views from the house are good ones which overlook the sea and, anyway, quite a bit of Tarbert is up a hill from other parts of it ! I was on my own and got the last of the three rooms (a twin) for £30 for...

A lovely place to stay. Such a warm welcome from Flora Morrison, who leaves wonderful home-baked cakes in your room instead of mass-produced little biscuits wrapped up in plastic. Only drawback was that the bed was a little bit uncomfortable. Otherwise Tigh na Mara would definitely deserve an excellent rating. Overall a wonderful place to stay and I'm sure we'll...
