Stayed here for one night in Oct 2016. The location is good if you're doing the NC500, and there is beautiful scenery on the way to and surrounding the village. The hotel however was probably decorated in the '70s and hasn't changed much since. However bed linen was fresh, great shower head, so attempts at modernising are perhaps underway but...

The last time we visited this hotelwas over 30 years ago. It hasn't changed much, apart from the pleasant reception room which is used for breakfasts. The stairs were covered in dog hair, and the window at the end of the 1st floor landing had a large hole in the outer pane, presumably caused by a football. The room had...

The hotel seems basic on first viewing and would never be classified as 'luxury' however it is good value, the food is good (especially the breakfasts) and the view from the restaurant when the sun is setting must rate among the best in the world. We (2 couples) stayed for 3 nights to explore the very North West of Scotland...

This hotel has super views over a working fishing port, and over the sea to the Western Isles. The hotel was built in the sixties and still remains in that style, different from modern samey hotels. The room we had was clean and comfortable, as was its bathroom. We had dinner in the public restaurant, and breakfast in the residents...

Ended up here because they have free wifi and had a few drinks, then stayed on for dinner. Really lovely meal, although the waitress took awhile to thaw out! Good local food, but the locals at the bar definitely have priority over visitors!

On first sight it was run down with paint peeling from the outside. The inside was clean but needs to be updated The room was adequate with both a double and a single bed. The beds were clean and firm. The television had a faulty aerial and the bathroom needed attention We did not have dinner there, instead opting for...

Grand Views BUT the ONLY good thing after that was a Comfy Bed. NEARLY everything else was VERY TIRED and Redecoration . The evening meals were basic and I found over cooked . A member of my party , ordered Syrup Pudding and CUSTARD , But it came with No Custard and didn't have any only Cream .

Superb scenery in the area, plenty of good , proper food after being out on geology field trip all day. Gorgeous views of sea from rooms and restaurants, definitely recommend this hotel. Ask for a room heater of central heating is off.

We had dinner here two nights running during our recent visit to north west Scotland. The food was tasty and the prices reasonable. Dogs are welcome in the bar, which was an added bonus for our little Staffie! We will happily eat here again when we are next in the area.

I often stay here due to work, and have found it very pleasant. The staff are very helpful from arrival to checkout. The rooms are spacious, clean and warm. The meals are excellent, and reasonably priced. While the location is remote, this is a great place to stay if out that way. The views are lovely, and the rest of...
