Worst hotel, worst service and dirtiest room and worst service I have ever seen, in my life! I never leave reviews, but I simply must for this hotel. This was the worst service I have ever received from any commercial business in my life. Myself and my partner turned up to the Poolewe hotel and were presented with a room which had dirty pillows, hair on the bed sheet, insects in the room, handprints on the windows and dirty marks on the furnishings.. head over to trip advisor for photos. I spoke to reception that day and told them I wasn’t happy with the cleanliness of the room and that I was looking to check out of it. We were not offered any resolution; no other rooms were offered to us and when I asked for a refund, I was told they would check the room and get back to me. I emailed my complaint on my 4-hour drive home and was meet with the worst and rudest responses. This is genuinely the poorest service I have ever received. I was ignored expect to say in a one line response “I’d suggest you contact booking.com”. After a week of being ignored I called the hotel to chase up the complaint where the same reception told me “booking.com have told me I can’t speak to you” and hung up the phone on me. After over a week of complaining, sending photos, being hung up on by the hotel and being ignored.. I can tell you that this is the WORST hotel I have seen, save your money, save your energy and book another hotel. Poolewe hotel - Clean your act up, the cleanliness of your hotel is shocking, and your attitude is even worse!! I’d learn how to address any issues and deal with them rather than the rudeness and avoiding that you’ve done this week, safe to say I wont be back to visit you, your hotel reception or the creatures you leave in your hotel room.. EVER.

Well I’ll start with the pros Pros - satisfactory rooms and a decent breakfast. There’s not much round here and it was a stop-off for the NC500. Cons - the staff didn’t understand what you were saying and they hadn’t a clue was was on offer. We asked a few questions without succession and lastly I asked what the seasonal veg was and after a long pause he said er Lettuce and tomato! I asked what gin they had and neither of them knew what I was on about . I ordered the homemade pie and I’m not disputing the filling but the only pastry was one of these frozen pastry tops that you pop on top so that was disappointing. There was a bit of an atmosphere but the football was on and they had put German flags all over, they came down quickly the next day though …
