I Haven't been writing reviews as of late as nothing has excited me enough to inform you all. But when i find my self reluctantly leaving isle of jura, i really must tell you what a fantastic time we had. Weather wasn't particular nice but i wasn't visiting the island for a tan. More the rough and rugged Scottish wilderness...

Hotel was comfortable and had plenty of seating areas for various holidaymakers comfort. The hotel staff were very pleasant and couldn't do enough to accommodate us. We loved the food and the puddings were to die for yummy. The hotel is undergoing substantial renovation at the moment but it seems this will only improved an already great place to stay....

But if you book in February what else can you expect! The only downside was on he waistlines as we were not balancing the excellent calory intake with exercise. We were first guests after closure for refurbishment, the welcome we received was second to none, a free upgrade, and a very very comfortable stay, Carn't wait to return, when hopefully,...

We went to the Isle of Jura in January to vet it out as a possible wedding venue. After three nights of generous portions of home-comfort food with local produce, scenic walks filled with tranquility and lots of deer, and the hospitality of the lovely couple and staff who run it, we had our hearts set. We look forward to...

Spent two nights at the Jura Hotel as part of our tour of the Isles. I felt this was going to be good when I made the booking by telephone from the other side of the world and spoke to a lady who made me feel like she was a long lost friend. Anyway I was wrong it was so...

As the only hotel on the island, they have no competition to speak of, but they don't act like it. I expected rooms to be somewhat rustic because of the guidebook description, but my room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice modern bathroom. The employees were very friendly. They have the only restaurant on the island, and the food...

Spent a few days on Jura, and camped on the grounds of the pub. They have great food all fish is freshly caught and the menu changes depending on the catch. Fresh cakes are made on site and portions can be bought at the bar. There are rooms in the inn but it's best to ring in advance for availability....

We had been meaning to visit with an ageing, whisky drinking relative for years. Finally made it and wow, what a place. Scenery was incredible, Distillery tour interesting and Hotel great. We had one bay view room and one to the rear of the hotel. Both were very clean and decorated well. Beds were comfy and en-suite large. No TV's...

We stayed in Room 10 which presented a lovely view of the bay, a private bath and a very comfortable bed. Our room was large and always clean. We arrived via the passenger ferry from Tayvallich so only needed to walk 2 blocks from the dock to the hotel. The staff is very friendly!!! The food excellent in the hotel...

Great location (once you get there). Views from the hotel rooms on the bay side are great. Clean, with a nice bathroom (though some rooms don't have a bath room). The staff were the best out of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Scotland, which is real saying something. You really need to look at the ferry schedules and...
