In a quiet place of undisturbed tranquility and almost surreal natural beauty, where the slopes of Ben Cruachan fall into the clear waters of loch Awe, lies a deeply romantic and luxurious old country house called Ardanaiseig. In a 19th-century manor house on 120 acres beside Loch Awe, this luxury hotel is 21 miles from the ruined Kilchurn Castle and 22 miles from Ben Cruachan. Elegant rooms offer loch or garden views and feature antique furnishings. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, tea and coffee making facilities, and designer Scottish toiletries. There is also a separate glass-fronted loch side Boatshed suite and a 2-bedroom cottage. An acclaimed restaurant serves upmarket, seasonal dishes. Full Scottish breakfast and afternoon tea are available, and other amenities include boat rentals, croquet and bikes.

We have stayed here before about five years ago and loved it. We returned and as soon as we were shown into our room Ben Neagh we got the feeling the wheels had started to come off. The room was a bit tired and whilst the view does take in the gardens it equally takes in the

Probably the worst arrival at a hotel in lashing rain, high winds, pitch dark. After eventually finding a member of staff to direct us to the Boat Shed, we were wafted "to the right". The paths were unlit, the Shed was unlit and after an increasingly irritating 15 minute drive

My partner and I were sad to leave the gorgeous Ardanaiseig after a two night stay. The weather was pretty grim, but with the fire on in the bar and the heaters on in the bedroom it felt like the perfect place to take shelter. I’ll start with the positive points, because

My wife and I just held our wedding at Ardanaiseig Hotel and it was spectacular. Reading some recent reviews it’s clear that the establishment has gone through a turbulent time over the course of 2018 but let us assure you it is firmly back on track, as a wedding venue, as a

Hi Sorry - I’m not sure, but don’t think so. Would be worth phoning the hotel to check, though, as we only stayed one night and we had a voucher including dinner.

Dear Madam, Thank you for your enquiry. Yes we can indeed arrange a car to come and collect you it would be a taxi from the Oban area and it would cost £45 to get you from there to here. Have you got a booking date in mind for visiting us here at Ardanaiseig Hotel? If you require any further assistance then please do not hesitate to call us here on 01866 833333. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Ardanaiseig. Kindest Regards Louise
