from the moment we arrived we were treated as friends, Maria made us so welcome and we were shown to our lovely room , the room and the on suite were spotlessly clean and the room was filled with beatiful things. There were tea and coffee making facilities, home made biscuits and a bottle of fresh water. The bed was comfy and...

I spent five nights in May at Roineabhal and could not have chosen a better place to start my solo trip around the Highlands. Though it rained every day, I always knew I would return to care and comfort in front of the sitting room fire. I also enjoyed wandering the beautifully landscaped grounds and was fascinated to watch the...

The house is in a lovely spot and is ideally placed for drives to Kilmartin and walks in the nearby ancient oak forests of Glen Nant and Barnaline, great for wildlife. Roineabhal is somewhat colonial in style with verandas front and back and lots of fine wooden French doors leading on to the lovely landscaped gardens that surround it. It...

Our room looked out on a wonderful garden (fruit and vegetables as well as flowers and lawns) from one window, and down onto a stream from the other, with hills in the distance. The bed was large and soft, the en-suite immaculate and though there was no mobile signal, the wi-fi worked perfectly. Maria greeted us with a cup of...

Many of the details about this property are not totally accurate. This house is not on the shore of Lock Awe. You can not see Lock Awe. Its is only B&B not made clear by Booking.com. The ground floor twin bedded room is not by any means luxury - no chair for clothes or bags. TV within inches of ceiling...

This house is in a beautiful location in lovely gardens close to Loch Awe. On arrival I was warmly greeted. This is a Wolsey Lodge B & B and met the expectation of being welcomed into a luxurious family home. My room was very comfortable and quiet. Each evening, when I returned from my day out, I was received by...

In contrast to the many positive reviews sadly I couldn't report back positively on this two night experience. When attending a wedding you don't expect to have it marred by a couple who seemed desperate for money above all else from the moment you walked in the door. Mine and two other guest's accommodation was booked by the wedding couple...

We were so very sorry to read your review and to know that you had such a bad experience with us. It was surprising as it was such a contrast from the email I received from the groom of the wedding you attended and whom had made the original booking. He assured me that everyone had had such an enjoyable...

We planned to explore this area of Scotland having a few days off work and booked online. As others have commented, this guest house is in a reasonably remote location but a beautiful one, overlooking Loch Awe. The house and grounds are exceptional as was the welcome from Maria, family and staff. We had booked for 2 nights but enjoyed...
