Spent 2 nights here on business in Lochgilphead stay was good hotel is a bit dated and in need of a lick of paint inside and out but once you ignore that food, rooms and bar very good. Ate here both nights very good and reasonably price. As we were away very early continental breakfast was left out for us....

Well what to say.. When we arrived at the hotel we noticed the tacky window frames and broken windows!! Ohh dear we thought what have we let us in for.. The front door was locked but when we rang the owner opened the door apologising - previous guests accidently locked the door. The interior is very dated and not finished,...

The beer was off and the meal was mediocre. When we got there it looked as if it was closed and we were suprised that one door was open. The staff were not very welcoming. We were looking for somewhere to have a good meal and this had been recommended to us but it was not good.

The restaurant stayed open late on a Sunday evening to feed a large party of wet and hungry cyclists. The staff were also very helpful in drying our clothes and storing our bikes out of the rain. The vegetarian food wasn't fantastic but the fish / meat eaters enjoyed their meals.

I'm on a motorcycle tour and was recommended to stay here. I had planned on camping but cold weather put me off that and after two nights in bunkhouse dormitories I splashed out on Lochgair Hotel. Nice welcome at reception and lovely Haggis meal. Bed very comfortable with perfect duvet (you know the light but very warm kind). Free WiFi...

Myself & a colleague stayed at Lochgair Hotel for several weeks Monday-Friday whilst working in the area. We both found the hotel a very welcoming & comfortable place to be. Rooms were of good quality for the price - comfortable beds & good hot shower. The food was excellent with a wide selection on offer, & even a separate vegetarian...

My wife and I were returning home from Appin on a lovely sunny summers day, and decided to take the long way home via Lochgilphead and Inveraray. About 13:30 we were passing the Lochgair Hotel which looked very attractive, and we thought of a Bar Meal. We parked the car, the sign by the door said Reception, Bar, Restaurant. When...

This hotel is well located, near the loch, but really needs some tlc. The linen was clean and the beds comfortable. Other than that there was not much to commend it. The proximity to the road makes for regular speeding car noise... And they fairly whip past. The rooms need redecorating. Didn't eat the breakfast.
