We stayed for three nights at Brander Lodge whilst visiting friends and family in the area. Everything you read in the previous reviews about this newly-renovated hotel (with improvements to the finishing touches currently under way in a non-intrusive manner) is true. The staff are welcoming, the food very good and the ambience warm. In addition to being resident, we...

A group of us stayed in this recently tastefully renovated hotel for 2 nights. We were given a lovely warm welcome from Graham. We all had twin rooms upstairs which suited us. The room was spacious with a large TV on the wall and a lovely peaceful view. My friend and I had a walk in shower unit, however other...

The atmosphere here is comfy and casual. The bar area is nice and updated. The staff are friendly and funny. Food was great and the room was wonderful. The location is nice being outside of town and near the river. Lots of regulars that visit as well. Good option for near and around Oban.

Our inaugural visit was so good that we just had to go back again. It was a breezy cool day and we entered this stylish bar to be greeted by the biggest wood burning stove we have yet encountered. It was practically speaking to us ... " come in, welcome, i'll make you all cosy and warm". The staff were...

Thank you so much for the review, also for the double visit, it is much appreciated for both. I always pass on reviews for the benefit of the staff, and assure you that they are always well received. They give the staff an enormous boost, catering is not always the easiest of occupations. That aside, we love it, it is...

Wonderful easter break at Brander Lodge. The hotel management and staff are amazing. So friendly and helpful- always up for a bit of banter. The refurbishments are outstanding and make such a difference. Rooms and general areas exceptionally clean. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in the Taynuilt/Oban area.

It's one out of two places to have dinner if you stopped in one of near by B&B's. Must have reservation before coming or will be offered only a place near the bar. We wait 30 minutes even when coming exactly on time of reservation. Food is expensive and claim for delicacy, however it's ordinary good food for the restaurant...

We visited the brander lodge following a recommendation from the butcher in taynuilt. What a lovely evening we had; the food and wine were exceptional, particularly the steak. The staff were very welcoming and the owner Dave was great craic. A great selection of whiskey as well. Not to be missed if you're in the be area.

Thank you for choosing to dine with us, we are so pleased you enjoyed your meal. We are a small community, one of the reasons we purchase our meat products from the local butcher, the other reason being his quality of product.
