Had a couple of days in the middle of a work assignment in Glasgow so hired a car and got busy on expedia to find a hotel on an impromptu tour of the Highlands. It wasn't easy as it was the middle of Easter but an option to stay here turned up and I clicked on it with relief. And...

We checked in to our room 10 minutes before our meal was booked for, as there'd been an accident on the road and huge delays. No probs, said Lauren, we'll change your booking. Went off to our room - all the amenities and aiming for old fashioned comfort - then went down. David advised on drinks; amuse bouche arrived. Delicious....

Stayed for one night 29th March with my elderly parents and dog. The hotel is very well situated with ample car parking to the rear. An old coach house it's been lovingly restored to a high standard. The bar and lounge areas are cosy and has by far the biggest selection of whiskey and gins that I have ever seen....

Stayed 2 nights in the Loch Etive Suite. We ate in the lounge and the Etive restaurant. The food was exquisite. Dave and Lauren were super friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived by train from Glasgow. The journey is very long but has fantastic scenery and there is a general camaraderie on board. The people in...

The Taynuilt Hotel is lovely! Check in was immediate, friendly and Lauren was really informative and helpful. Our room was quirky and full of character, everything you could possibly want, a good shower, plenty hot water, a very large TV, DVDs, comfy bed. There was 2 places to eat within the hotel, the Lounge and the Etive Lounge, both lovely...
