A lovely oldcfadjioned hotel with a great menu and relaxed atmosphere. My parents live on Bute so we visit regularly and have never been disappointed with the food or service. They also do gift vouchers which is handy.

We had dinner at the hotel and we both went for the specials. I had the local lamb which was the best lamb I've tasted and my wife had the tuna and swordfish stack which was apparently lovely too. Desert was the sharing platter and it was top notch. One of the best meals we've had out and we go...

Easily one of our favourite places to eat and unwind anywhere in Scotland. The Kingarth is a little gem, with a magnificent menu (plus ever-changing specials on the board by the fireplace), great staff and a warm and relaxed ambiance. Whether you choose from the bar menu or opt for something enticing from the specials board, you'll be more than...

This is a gem of a hotel and restaurant, very much worth the trip. It is in a quiet part of the beautiful Isle of Bute off the west coast of Scotland. The staff are lovely and there is such a warm welcome. I had a lovely vegetable and lentil soup, which was piping hot and there was a great...

This is a great place to eat or have a drink. My wife and I have been a couple of time and never been disappointed. Minor draw back was that we wanted to stay but they unfortunately only have a couple of rooms. Not to worry may be next time

Came for a romantic weekend away and dined here. Beautiful food, loved the Game Casseole and tasting desert platter. A shame we were in the back room and didn't feel like we could stay longer than 8pm as they had a large party in, fire not lit ;( and pool table covered up for the party disco. Food was amazing...

This was my second time staying at the Kingarth, as with my last visit it was great. Food is extremely tasty with good portions. The accomadation is also great, very clean and tidy - with daily room cleaning. Maria and her staff are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and will continue to use the Kingarth when visiting Bute.

This is a must for visitors to Bute looking for good food and accommodation. The rooms are pleasant and in good order, and the food, best described as modern Scottish, is of a high standard and quality, especially the daily specials. The staff are pleasant and efficient which helps in making this a good place to eat. If staying over,...
