Spent my birthday at the waterside lodges and had my birthday dinner here... lovely food with loads to choose from on the menu...the staff were really attentive. A good choice of wine reasonably priced... very popular restaurant even out of season so might be an idea to book if you are going during the high season.

The Oak Tree Inn is a great place to stop off for walkers, cyclists, campers/caravans, bus tours or when you're just out on a peaceful drive. Beautiful in all seasons as the log fire crackles away during Winter months and the surrounding scenery is spectacular. A very welcoming place with friendly, efficient staff. The food is always delicious, piping hot...

We walked up the Conic hill before traipsing into this restaurant with our muddy boots on (which wasn't a problem). It was busy but we were seated quickly. I had soup, which was good. The hamburger meal was tasty. I bit expensive but not too bad considering the location.

We were given a present of an overnight stay at this establishment since going to a place like this for simply an overnight stay is not something we normally do. First the good points: the staff are very helpful and friendly the food and service at dinner was excellent there is a nice atmosphere in the bar, with the focal...

I chose this place for my husbands birthday weekend as it was recommended by a friend. Warm welcome, nice food, great coffee. Our room was lovely, very clean and new looking. Warm which was very welcome as it was very cold outside. Would certainly recommend to others and would go back.

Our large group spent 3 nights at The Oak Tree in December. The location is absolutely stunning and if you enjoy walking there are numerous treks starting from the hotel. The hotel itself is quite remote so if you are planning to stay a few days it's advisable to have a car should you wish to visit some of the...

The staff very efficiently found us a spot on a busy Sunday afternoon, no mean feat considering we were a party of nine. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and attentive, nothing was a problem. Our food was delicious and prompt, even though it was a full house. But the coffee! Three of us had coffees, and...

Great wee place to grab a bite to eat or have a good meal. A little pricey but my god you definately get plenty for your money and tasted fantastic. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Gluten free menu available there too if need be.

Always good --food and service first class --l have stayed here before and that was good as well -it's a lovely mixture of old fashioned and modern with an absolutely classic setting --there is a car park across the way but it can get very busy in summer
