Just back from another fantastic stay here, just for one night this time, on dinner bed and breakfast basis. Stayed in a feature room in main building which was very spacious yet cosy and well decorated with a separate very spacious bathroom with shower and two wonderful slipper baths. In the room, which is very well equipped with everything you'd...

We were blessed with very unseasonal weather for what was our first trip to Monachyle Mhor. And what a trip! Blue skies, wisps of fog on the loch, and no wind. I can understand why people come from all over the world to experience this. It can be described as an old farm situated several miles up a dead end...

I've stayed at Monachyle a couple of times now and I can't wait to go back. The views, the rooms, the restaurant, the wine and whisky selections, the menu, the staff - all BRILLIANT. The scones - oh the scones are fabulous! Great way to escape from everything and your phone won't work - a total escape. Make sure you...

Fourth stay at the hotel and booked three nights over Christmas in a "feature room". The room was excellent.Comfortable, spacious and immaculately clean. All meals served in the dining room were outstanding - dinner on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day;and breakfast each day - but - Christmas Lunch was something else. Described as "A Christmas Feast" it was served in the...

My wife and I stayed in the htel for 2 nights to celebrate our Pearl Wedding. The drive to it through a dark winter's night was a bit hair-raising as the road is only pingle track with passing places and is not great in one or two places.Still we were given a warm welcome and our room was boiling hot...

Had a great night in the Monachyle Mhor Hotel Balquhidder the drive up the single track road is not for the faint hearted especially at night but is a lot nicer during the day time with some spectacular views. Arrived early evening at the hotel to a pleasant and welcoming smile from the receptionist and found we had been upgraded...

We had one of the best overnight stays I can remember for a very long time here last weekend. It's a beautiful location, a few miles up a glen with a stunning drive along the edge of Loch Voil, but within very easy reach of the Central Belt. The welcome was warm and friendly, and all the staff members we...

A last minute booking after lunch at the sister restaurant Mhor 84 secured us a beautiful courtyard room for the night at Monachyle Mhor . Dinner was superb, service great, all very relaxed and we felt utterly at home in this stunning venue and location. A 24 hour break has felt like a whole weekend away..and we have already promised...

This should be on your list of must-see places to eat in when travelling through Scotland. What appears to be a humble bakers from the outside houses one of the best wee gems of a coffee shop in the area. when you enter you have the bakers shop on your left but turn right into a busy communal dining area...
