A last minute booking after lunch at the sister restaurant Mhor 84 secured us a beautiful courtyard room for the night at Monachyle Mhor . Dinner was superb, service great, all very relaxed and we felt utterly at home in this stunning venue and location. A 24 hour break has felt like a whole weekend away..and we have already promised... This should be on your list of must-see places to eat in when travelling through Scotland. What appears to be a humble bakers from the outside houses one of the best wee gems of a coffee shop in the area. when you enter you have the bakers shop on your left but turn right into a busy communal dining area... We celebrated my 40th here a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. The food is far too gorgeous to put into words. Local Scottish produce at it's very best. The staff are so friendly and immediately make you feel at home. I absolutely loved the stylish but comfortably furnished lounge with the roaring fire and resident Labrador for company.... More

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. So relaxing. Superb views. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Good selection of walks. And away from the world! Loved it. Wish they had supplied wellies though as rather wet underfoot and we were ill prepared.

We were here for our Silver wedding Anniversary- what a treat. We arrived after getting a taxi 4 miles away. Great service recommended by the hotel. We had canapes in the lounge - a lovely setting. Loved the decor. We were taken through and could choose our table for dinner- a cosy corner in one of the dining rooms. the... More

Amongst the various places we stayed during our trip around the west of Scotland, including a number of five star luxury resorts, this was our favourite by some distance. It’s setting is idyllic; Loch Voil in October was resplendent in its reflection of the brown, gold and orange trees around its border, and it had a stillness that only comes... More

We spent an afternoon here with family members and it was wonderful! The views are simply stunning and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere, superb service and delicious food. We had four children with us who also had a ball. Saving up to stay the night!

This was our last night in Scotland and we choose perfectly. Situated half way from the Western Highlands on route back to Edinburgh, we stopped here for the night and to partake in the dining opportunity the Mhor presented. It's indeed a narrow path along the Loch to eventually get the the Hotel, so dining there that night is a... More

This is the forth time we have visited, the last time was during the heavy floods and there were some challenges, but still exceptional. This time no floods but an Indian summer. I can only concur with the recent comments and if you have a dog with you then life doesn't get much better. If you are looking to visit... More

This was our second visit to this hotel. It is unique due to it's location coupled with the quality of the food. We had a very spacious comfortable room with separate bath and shower cum steam room. As it is remote it is best to eat in the hotel restaurant. Most of the food comes from the farm. Dinner is... More
